Discussion: Convinced He Can Land A Deal With Dems, Kushner Plunges Into Immigration Talks

Yeah, the genius whose Daddy had to buy (literally) his son’s admission to Harvard. (Just like a Drumpf family friend pulled stings to get another dumb-ass scion’s transfer to Penn approved a couple of generations ago. No wonder these two get along.)

We rejected nepotism for a reason.

Sticking your dick in someone’s daughter doesn’t make you an expert in policy, either domestic or foreign.

Call time of death on Irony…3:56 AM, said the furloughed and unpaid and all those who work with them in our connected ecosystem that is the economy.

The WAPO article is bonkers. Kushner is an junior emperor with no clothes. In this article you see references to his incompetence, but then fawning praise for his skills. To try to say the Dems will fold without really talking to them shows how dumb he is. This shutdown will probably end up lasting about 3 weeks longer than it should have because this dolt was put in charge and no one on the GOP side wanted to tell him to shut up.

Fueled by confidence from his recent legislative win…

LOL! That has to be the greatest joke since Henny Youngman’s “Take my wife - please!”

Hey, Jared, you mean the GOP tax cut that is now less popular than ebola ice cream? THAT legislative win?!
Oh, please! Do it! Do it! Throw Jared into Nancy Pelosi’s Gladiator Arena. I want to be entertained!!!

Who does that sound like?

Even if the Dems wanted a deal and made one you can place easy bets that tRUmp will, per his usual way of doing business, come in to sign and make a last minute demand that no one understand nor wants. Usually that ends with Donnie walking out in a huff vowing some form of “revenge” that everyone also knows is a meaningless tantrum to be ignored.

And many of those who are getting paid are paid so poorly that they have to work a second job just to keep a roof over their heads.

Ensuring people continue in poverty is a noble goal, according to the Goopers and the vast majority of the 1%.

Hey, don’t pick on kumquats!

Actually, I was thinking of Beavis and Butthead, but I know of a couple just like you described, with the same outcomes.

I agree, though I’d say he wasn’t put in charge so much as he’s stepped up to grab the Golden Scepter, aka the Leadership Wand, the device Trump uses as a substitute to the Conch Shell. Also remember if you are within the GOP club, meaning pathetical ‘R’ after your name you are not allowed to tell a fellow white male club member to shut up and mind their role.

There is usually a tendency to label people stupid with abandon. But in the case of Jared Kushner he is actually dumb as brick, he fails to see all aspects of an issue, a couple of cases

a) When he told Trump that is was safe to fire Comey because, democrats hated him for what he did to Hillary.
b) When he went calling democratic senators telling them that Trump’s speech from the oval office was going to change public opinion.

I don’t know if he realizes that that the reason republicans lost 40 seats in the House is because a large number of former GOP & Trump voters now want Congress to bring the crazy man in the White House under control, if the public wanted the wall over anything else they would have voted Republican in November.

Here I was, thinking that all Mr, Art-of-the-Deal had to do was find the right insults to hurl at his opponents via Twitter, and they’d cave to his demands!

Substitute Trump’s name for Kushner’s and the truth value of this statement remains the same.

ETA: A couple of others beat me to it.

And democrats would talk to him why, exactly???!?!!!

Actually If I was a Democratic Congressional leader I would talk to him. I will get him to agree on a vote with 50 Billion for the wall and immediate Citizenship for all DACA and TFS. That’s going nowhere but it was sure going to be fun to hear the braying of wingnuts realizing the Kushner is willing to sell them down the river.
