“These days a lot of people are going to read into something what they want to read into it.”
No, George. We read what you wrote, which does not make what you wrote our fault. You are not the victim here.

Yeah, and these days a lot of old white men are going to refuse to read into anything what they don’t want to realize is staring them in the face. And WaPo is going to let them write about it without any messy filtering from reality.
“On that day, there were three males, if that is important to you,” Alan Shearer, CEO and editorial director of Washington Post News Media Services,"
Dude…it should be important to you. You are CEO of a business that is part of an industry in steady decline. And you simply don’t give a crap…more importantly, you don’t even realize why you should give a crap.
“Will’s column was dropped by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,”
THAT, btw, is exactly why it should be important to you. Putting your attitudes toward women aside for just a brief moment…your attitudes towards running a business are abysmal.
“These days a lot of people are going to read into something what they want to read into it.”
And these days, a single woman editor would have pushed the entire piece right back to your little aging prima donna in the twilight of his dubious career.
And when he came crying to you about it, the answer was already written for you by him…Quit crying about being raped, George…it doesn’t make you a preferred class.
Oh…and the Cubs still suck.
Why don’t we just say what we all must be thinking. George Will is a rapist. From his opinion and his defense of this twisted and wrong attempt to redefine rape, it is quite obvious that he raped some poor young girl who had passed out in his frat house oh so many years ago. George meet Fire. Now, go die in it.
People are going to “read into something what they want to read into it”. Yeah, words…what can you do about em? I hear ya.
Isn’t an editor’s job to edit?
It could have been edited by a woman and sounded the same way. Some conservativeTea Party women would say the same thing.
One thing is very clear: Jeff Bezos fully supports George Will, Fred Hiatt, and Jennifer Rubin.
No different than having only men testify during a House hearing about contraception.
Nopology…it’s the conservative way!
They are replacing him with Michael Gerson however, so it’s not all that much of a change.
Baby steps here in StL…

"Let’s say we had a lot of discussion about it with George and he knew what he wanted to say,” he said then. “These days a lot of people are going to read into something what they want to read into it.”
Is some epic bull right there. Got it, everyone? You’re upset because you chose to read something into it. What an a-hole.
Women need not worry their pretty little heads over rape. George and the guys over at the WaPo have it all covered.
Can’t live with 'em, can’t live without 'em.
EDIT: I’m referring to words of course!
“On that day, there were three males, if that is important to you.”
I guess all three of them must have said, “Golly, George has got a good point there!” Because if that was the edited version, I’d hate to have seen the draft!
Typical conservative nopology: “I’m sorry you were offended. Guess you just didn’t understand what George was trying to mansplain to you…”
Jeff Bezos firmly supports making a profit, since he didn’t do it for years at Amazon.
The Republican War on Woman goes full throttle in the left-leaning WaPo … now wait just a minute here …
It makes perfect sense–in that nearly all rapes are committed by men, so they should know all about it, right? Right???
A United Nations statistical report compiled from government sources showed that more than 250,000 cases of rape or attempted rape were recorded by police annually. The reported data covered 65 countries.[2] In some jurisdictions, male-female rape is the only form of rape counted in the statistics.[3] The attitude of the police in many countries often discourages victims from reporting rape: one study in Turkey found that 33% of police officers agreed with the assertion that “some women deserve rape” and 66% agreed that “the physical appearance and behaviors of women tempt men to rape.”[4]
Something tells me that even if it were a proven fact that George Will was a heterosexual, about 99.99% of his human interaction would be only with men.
