Thing is the market value of the data being collected from the donors is more valuable than the amount collected, especially in a election year. Just think 750k @ $10 a pop is a lot of donors.

Also just think how much Glenn will benefit from the mainstream publicity and at no cost to him what so ever.

It’s still fraud. There is no fucking way the company had to shut its doors from one day of calls. No way. Also there’s a huge tax burden for accepting donations like this as a business when you aren’t a non profit or charity.

I checked on funding policies. They will get all funds minus 8%. Five percent goes to gofundme, three percent goes for payment processing. If the Connors were smart, they’d donate most of it to reputable charities.

Added: This link says crowd sourcing donations are subject to income taxes. Paypal, or the payment processor, has to notify the IRS and send a 1099 form to recipient for payments that exceed 20,000.Link:

I hope they raise millions. 39.6% will go to the federal government 3.3% will go to Indiana state taxes. 5% to GoFundMe. 3% to Paypal for processing payments. The donations are not deductible, so if they donate millions, Christians and wing-nuts will be giving the government they hate tax money they’d would never have collected otherwise.
