“When this is all over, we have to go back. There’s got to be a reckoning on all this…"
Sure. When this is all over, the Clinton Administration starts. I just fucking bet you’re going to be up to some deep soul searching when Senate Majority Leader Warren is trying to fill a SCOTUS vacancy.
Demonizing the media is one part. The other part is the demonizing of all opponents to a point where a good-faith compromise is seen as total failure or even treasonous. And the worst part of that is they used racism as a tactic to achieve that.
Not to mention that this guy’s had a lot of time on MSNBC talking about his opposition to trump and it’s all too little too late. He’d never had gotten that gig if it hadn’t been for trump.
@greycardinal I was with you til you got Senate Majority Leader Warren. It’s been presumed to be Schumer of NY for a long time. He’s in the senate leadership behind Reid and Durbin, he’s got the seniority, the backing, etc.
@brooklyndweller The RNC changed its primary schedule in 2014 after Mittens lost so badly in 2012. They frontloaded Southern states knowing there’d be a big turnout for an R candidate, and what they got was a racist, uninformed turnout they couldn’t have imagined.
@dwward Sometime it’s overlooked but Bill Clinton beat Poppy bush, and that’s approximately when the hatred and sliming of any future Democratic candidate began. Hillary was also part of the investigation in the House into Nixon’s wrongdoings which of course led to his impeachment. Add this to the list of grievances Rs have compiled over the years. It’s all about putting a white R male back in the White House.
That statement should be considered Erickson’s ‘come to Jesus’ moment. I’m bookmarking on account that he will eventually mock this ‘spiritual’ discovery.
and that’s why I bookmarked this article. If anyone thought that ‘crash tv’ with Obama as the supposed pinata was exciting…get ready for a replay of the 90’s.
