Discussion: Conservative Pundit Goes On Anti-Trump Rampage On CNN: ‘You’re A Liar!’ (VIDEO)

I’m very glad that Boehner has stated what we Texas Democrats have long known. Cruz really is “Lucifer in the Flesh!” And his very existence occupying the main competitive position to Donald Trump nationally is a major factor that will result in Trump getting the nomination on the first ballot. Cruz supporters like the nasty Steve in the upper right of the screen demonstrate why Trump is preferable.

Neither Trump nor Cruz should even be allowed in to Washington, D.C. let alone near the actual Presidency.

I think @coimmigrant was going for “40-odd-percent”, but agreed that a large chunk of that 40-odd-percent can be quite odd indeed…

No Shit. If Ted Cruz gets elected POTUS even democrats in Texas will start talking about secession.

I wonder if Deace’s mother know’s that he’s gotten out of the house again!

Nope, going for the latter - the 40% who support Trump (or Cruz, I’m an equal opportunity cynic) are quite odd indeed.

Edited because spelling is hard work

All of us salivating over the coming show of self destruction, called the GOP Convention, should stop and try to remember a few things in our past. One: American voters will choose a celebrity they think they know over a competent politician any day - Reagan did get elected. Two: Utter stupidity and inability to talk in intelligible sentences doesn’t turn off American voters - little George Bush did get elected. It is always much more reassuring, if a bit scary, when the Republicans run someone who might actually be able to handle the office of POTUS.

I just wasted my time watching that.

What’s clear is that the media is not interested in anything but keeping this going, because it’s good for their bottom line.

So happy I don’t watch it in real time and almost never after the fact.

Someone needs to lock these people in a room with broken bottles and motorcycle chains

I’d suggest adding a couple dozen cases of Jack Daniels and a semi-truck full of AR-15s, Glocks, and a couple of bazookas.

And when was the last time they did that?

I vote we take off and nuke them from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

They don’t. I am so ashamed when I see press conferences by foreign reporters. They actually ask good questions and are real journalists, except perhaps those from the Daily Mail UK

“Wow, wow, hang on a second. No one comes on my show and calls anyone a liar,” she said.

That an interesting standard considering Trump’s nickname for Cruz.

The Democrats should just play back the multitude of these “conversations” and not bother with anything else campaign-wise.

Actually, since lestatdek was talking about how the rest of the world views us, it probably should be “40% of the odd electorate.”

I like the optics of the article’s accompanying photo. It just sort of says:

Hey, check out the white guy screaming at all the women.

That should help Republicans a lot.

These are Republicans. If they want to settle it: All they need is guns.

“Oh, it’s all right. I’m sure we can handle this situation maturely, just like the responsible adults that we are. Isn’t that right, Mr. Poopy Pants?”

Oh, Frank Drebin, how we miss you.

More proof of the USA descent into “Banana Republic” status politically.
It is hard to tell the difference between the US House of Representatives and the parliment in any Banana Republic.
Their candidates are MORE PALATABLE than the Republican offerings.

What’s funny is I actually debated that very point. I initially was thinking 40% +/- (aka 40 odd) but noticed that yes, that slice of the electorate is “odd” as well (to put it in polite terms).
