Does the same apply to Hannity and FOX for years of irresponsible race baiting and sowing seeds of hatred and unrest with demonstrably false propaganda campaigns?
That is EXACTLY what I thought.
Why are the fanatically religulous conservatives like Sean Hannity so overcome by hate and bigotry that they forget that an innocent teenager was killed? Where are their concerns for families and children?
I can understand why the release by the New York Times makes some people uncomfortable. However, I think conservatives are selective in expressing discomfort. Anyway, companies buy and sell peoples names and address for money all the time. I think addresses are public information and not protected by patents or property rights. Furthermore, the New York Times and Fox News are fully protected by the First Amendment to publish what they wish.
Please point to them explaining how to track down someone who has had numerous death threats made against them by people who have shown no aversion to violence and arson. None of their âDemonstrably false racial propagandaâ is remotely equivalent to that.
You mean like Wilson? After all, Wilsonâs the one who shot an unarmed teenager.
Bad move.
Also, fuck conservatives, because this is their SOP.
Am I the only one who was hoping they released his âstreet nameâ.
Who was the size of a truck and could have easily killed him. Colt made all men(And especially women) equal.
David Simon had written eloquently on this topic too, but conservatives are acting as though darren wilson were the first cop (or lawyer, or judge, or witness) ever to have to face the risk of having their identity/address known to an irate public. What about all the witnesses and cops over the years that risked the wrath of other, much more dangerous people (i.e. organized crime), but still did their goddamn duty bravely and in the open?
This has been repeated ad nauseum at this point, but absconding wilson the way his police department did, in the face of supposed public retaliation, is most despicable, fishy, likely-coverup-supporting crap they could have possibly done, and is an insult to anyone that has faced actual persecution in the face of an angry public and/or criminal cabal.
Havenât wingers released exact street addresses and phone numbers of people in the past? Donât remember the exact details, but I seem to recall Michelle Malkin publishing the address and phone numbers of people who were in stories when the ACA was passed. Donât recall anyone one the right complaining then.
How about ¨BoomâŚBoom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom¨
I refer you to the first amendment of the US Constitution
Doesnât free you from liability for the results OF your speech. I donât want the Times punished UNLESS something goes wrong.
The killer cop and the victim were the same height, 6"4â, but Brown was heavier. Itâs wasnât a midget cop versus Goliath.
Something has already gone terribly wrong with no consequences. Again.
Johnson retaliated by publishing what he says are the addresses of Julie Bosman and Campbell Robertson
Because two wrongs make a right.
Exactly. I donât like the publishing of peopleâs addresses or telephone numbers at all, not even the private addresses and numbers of politicians, who are very public people. But the stench of hypocrisy coming from right-wingers feigning outrage at this when they pioneered this dirty-tricks tactic is overwhelming.
But conservative journalist Charles C. JohnsonâŚ
Dear TPM, please stop using the word âjournalistâ when referencing Johnson. âBloggerâ, âActivistâ, hell even âColumnistâ, but he is in no sense a âJournalistâ.
Yes, what else could little 6â4¨ 210 lb. Wilson do to defend himself against that monster who was 150 feet away from his squad car where the monster had originally supposedly threatened his life?
âBloggerâ, âActivistâ, hell even âColumnistâ
Youâre too generous.
