Charles C. Johnson already has gone down in history as one of the great constitutionalists, right up there with Justice Thomas, Charlton Heston and Nathan Bedford Forrest – willing to sacrifice himself on the alter of publicity for his website.

Well, Southern justice has quite a, umm, tradition.

Three years and one day ago, the state of Georgia murdered an innocent black man, Troy Davis.

And the Federal judge (Mark Everett Fuller) that wrongly convicted ex-Gov. and Democrat Don Siegelman of Alabama is a wife-beater who refuses to resign. More NFL-style justice!

So, there is reason to be skeptical of the Mississippi Attorney General. Corruption is rife in Southern (in)justice systems.
