Discussion: Concerned Republicans Push Rand Paul To Abandon Uphill Presidential Bid

Jumping into the Presidential race as a guaranteed loser is hardly momentum. Personally, I like the national attention that Faux libertarian Ryand is getting. The actual libertarians are realizing what a joke he is and the neocons dismiss him without a second thought. That means he has to appeal to the establishment and the middle which isn’t the Paul way.
Ryand ranks on Trump and Christie, easy targets but also guaranteed to piss off lots of voters. The Paul appeal isn’t wearing well on little Paul. Ryand basically comes off as a spoiled, arrogant, entitled heir to some non-existing throne.

Hopefully his fantasmical ego keeps him busy chasing unrealistic Presidential dreams long enough to wreck the best job he ever had and highest office he’ll ever achieve, US Senator.

I have no Clooney who you’re talking about.

Yep, Jefferson county resident here, you got that right. However, there’s still plenty of time for the Senate race. Crit Luallen would be a good choice for that race.

I think things will look a lot clearer in a few weeks, after the election. The KY GOP is incredibly poorly funded this cycle, yet somehow running close to the Dems, who seem to have endless revenue this year. I didn’t even know Andy Beshear’s opponent was a man until I saw the ads, and this guy is just laughable. But I think if Dems have another big sweep on Election Day, the 2016 picture will come into much better focus. Once we see who survives and how beat up they are, or not, we’ll be able to see who can mount a credible campaign for Senate. I still don’t understand why Steve Beshear isn’t an obvious candidate.

He’s so anti-establishment that he worked out a cushy deal to keep his senate seat and run for president when KY law states something otherwise (or to some effect).

Yeah, that’s real anti-establishment cred there.

Poetic -------maybe political -----justice when he pulls out of the wannabe run and loses his senate race…

From your fingertips to the good Lord’s ears (if she’s got em). It would give me so very much joy if around 9 PM on election night, right before Sec. Clinton’s victory speech, if Rand Paul is forced to concede. I honestly wouldn’t even care which Democrat beats him just as long as he loses to a Democrat.

his superior political organization

The delusion is strong with this one. Nobody with a campaign organization run by people who think live-streaming a day in the life of this nitwit will be a net positive can lay any claim to “superior.”

Hey, he took the establishment’s rule and farted in their face! He’s so anti it’s amazing.

Almost as good as self-certifying himself to stick it to those stuffed-shirt know nothing establishment certificationers.

Randy 's was so confident of his presidential run that he made sure he could run to get his old job back if he screwed the TeaPooch…

The story should be updated with the info about him transferring a total of around a million from his senate campaign fund to his presidential campaign. That seems like it’s not fair to donors.

Well, he probably figures “I’ve got an ® after my name and I’m in Kentucky”. So, you know, not that big a betrayal.

It was $1.4 million—but I’m sure he doesn’t want us to count accurately.

Time to thank Kentucky for electing two nut case senators.

He’s SUPER Libertarian, with amazing anti-establishment powers that ensure he won’t be part of any organization… and can’t even maintain one himself, it seems.

I think we should encourage him to continue chasing his Presidential bid and forget about his lowly Senate seat altogether!

Precious little special snowflake and hairball Rand is tanking! ~tsk tsk tsk~ And in a sweet, fatherly moment Dad, Ron 9 From Outer Space, the voice of experience, gives his little Ronulan’ some insight into what went wrong.

No one likes dweeb Ryand but he has managed to grab a seat and that first and foremost is what the Repubs are ‘concerned’ with.

Romnerd was worried about the 47%, Ryand is fretting about his fraction of 1%. Funny, it will all turn out the same, 100% losers ; )
