The pathetic attempts by House republicans to change the subject and point fingers at dems were amusing. They spun themselves into the ground. They will never get corroboration from the IC, and I look forward to several indictments of people connected to Trump. Maybe even the Orange Buffoon himself.

He’s parsing words. The way the question is worded “influence the electoral process” could mean change the election results, which they didn’t look at.

I think they can be shamed, humiliated, whatever, into it. It depends how bad the info is. Certainly, if something close to treason is involved, they’ll cave. Party over country is not going to work in that instance.

“It certainly wasn’t our intention to say that today,” Comey answered. “We don’t have any information on that subject. That’s not something that was looked at.”
Not sure he answered that question the way he thinks he did. “We don’t have information on that subject.” What the hell is that supposed to mean? Yes you do have information on matters like that. That’s the whole purpose of this investigation.
I wonder how long Comey will be allowed to mumble down this path before Feinstein makes a comment that in fact the FBI and other intelligence entities have information about that and a whole lot more?
Something tells me that Schiff can do that.
Gowdy is dumb enough to walk into that kind of trap his mouth sets even though he was mouthing off in the hearing like he was some great trial lawyer.
(pssssst - Gowdy - it wasn’t a trial under discussion, it was an investigation. In investigations, hearsay is another path to follow to get to the truth, ya dumb son of a bitch.)

I honestly believe they are so far inside the RW media bubble and the FoxNews/Roger Ailes sphincter that they think anything they throw out there is going to be accepted by the American public as a whole. They still can’t figure out that the audience for these outlets is extremely small compared to all the other media in this age of the Internet. And the media has very little post-election love for Trump.
I really loved that one fucking maroon who tried to make all anonymous sources spilling their info into Russian spies posing as NYT reporters. Why not just make them leprechauns? Or eight-foot-tall aliens with acid for blood? And then there was the batshit fucking crazy supposition that, perhaps, Hillary and the Dems conspired with Russia. Oh, yes! The Dems plotted with Putin to have their own servers hacked so they could use it against Trump in case he won the election. How fucking devious! It’s genius, I tells ya! Better have an investigation of that! And while were at it, let’s investigate whether Han Solo really DID shoot first at Greedo!
