Hellz yeah he “agrees to speak”! I can hear it now…

“Senator, in response to your question about the conversation the president had with me on February 11th, let me pull out my memo from that day. I will say…”

“But Mr. Comey, I didn’t ask you about a conversation on February 11th. In fact, I wasn’t aware there was a conversation on February 11th. Was there a conversation on February 11th and, if so, what was discussed?”

“Yes, Senator, as I was saying…”

This will be must-see TV! I hope the pig-eyed sack of shit continues to speak ill of the former director because each word is another nail in his over-sized fool’s gold coffin.

I wonder what Faux News will be airing.

I think it’s pretty clear that the guy who paid $25 million to settle fraud lawsuits has the greater credibility here.

Agreed. Will any senator ask Mr. Comey about his 4 bankruptcies?

@zsak - lawn bowing? shuffleboard championships?

Comey has a flare for the dramatic. This may be more jaw-dropping than the Ashcroft bedside story.

Ka Boom! This will be viewed by many and get high ratings! Trump loves high ratings, but in this case probably not so much…

I’m not so sure. He won’t want to jeopardize the investigation he got fired over.

One of the tools the GOP uses to control the story is closed hearings. They can leak whatever they want in whatever light they choose. If you testified your student loans were paid off some sneaky worthless sack of excrement COUGHgowdyCOUGH would say ‘payoffs were discussed’. Public is good.

I do wonder if everyone around Trump worked with the Russians to help push the election for him, but never told him about the interference. That keeps him from being able to spill the beans and continue to insist all the investigators are just harassing him for absolutely no reason.

And even better, if he won, he’d be sure it was all his doing, and he’d be even MORE confused and outraged that everyone thought it was his family and friends who won it for him. It would drive him completely nuts. Maybe it’s DJT who is being gaslit.

Sure, he knows that Russians are his pals and lenders and sneaky business partners, but that’s all he thinks they are.

Nice going, there, little Darth-Trump! You did it all by yourself!

There will be two separate hearings running concurrently.

The Democrats will be asking questions about Russian interference in the election and DT’s obstruction of justice and attempts to shut down the FBI investigation. The GOP will follow the path outlined by Lindsey Graham when he was asked about the effect of appointing a special prosecutor: “There’s a new front opening here. I have reason to believe that there are emails between Clinton campaign officials, democratic operatives to the Department of Justice regarding the Clinton email investigation that happened on Obama’s watch."

Only thing better is if Trump live-tweets during the hearing. You just know that’ll generate additional provocative questions for the Dems to ask.

Comey has been a federal prosecutor, an asst. AG, and head of the FBI.

He knows what to tell, what to hint at, and what to leave to Mueller.
It will be both fascinating to hear and uncomfortable for the Trumpists.
