Huh. Never realized George Will was a Republican, I just thought he was an anti-Democrat.

Will he be an Independent now? I doubt the Democratic party wants the little weasel fucker.

My husband just told me the news, and I had to sit down.

He won’t become a dem though. No way. But he ought to take a good, hard look at his party. Maybe he’ll realize that it enabled a Trump nomination.

Then he can look in the mirror.

Nah, he’s just a Very Serious Person, and thus it is his birthright to declaim his sage wisdom to the Little People.

And BTW Mr Will, it’ll be at least 8 years before y’all have a shot, and that’s only if your party changes dramatically.

I guess he’s not supposed to cry then —

Now that Will has left the GOP can we get him to leave the USA?

“It’s not my party and I’ll buggar off if I want to.”

He’s just having a lil’ old pouty temper tantrum since he and his kind pretty much destroyed their brand.

The earth is shaking, the skies are growing dark, and the winds are gathering. Things are not good in Republicanville. But things are looking a lot better elsewhere!

It’s a good thing for us as long as a move like this by high-profile Republicans helps give cover to GOP voters for voting against Trump or staying home.

Perhaps a Libertarian. That would not be much of a leap for him.

It’s the battle of who gets the last word or insult with Trump.
He calls Will a major loser so Will bails on the whole Party. Trump may have no choice but to go nucular.

Wow. Another conservative walks away from the wreckage he helped cause wondering whose fault it is and why the servants haven’t cleaned it up already.

Heroic denial followed by pouting. Works for climate change, may as well try it for everything else.

Love seeing all these Repubs saying “this isn’t my party.” What on the earth was the GOP when it was your party, fellas? Were Bush and Cheney your party? That doesn’t say much for you either.

So with the sinking of the S.S. GOP the wealthy are getting in the life boats. That will leave the creatures of Dr. Moreau to support Herr Trumpster.

The columnist has criticized Trump in the pages of the Post, and Trump last month fired back, calling him a “major loser.”

Wait, so is it worse to be a “major” loser, or a “minor” one?

Either way, a better description of George Will would be “self-important bloviating twerp.”

To his credit, Will contemporaneously (2011 and 2012) called out Trump’s racist birther nonsense when most of the GOP was enabling, via public agnosticism, in the hopes that it would further their goal of obstructing Obama.
