It just killed Suthers to say it, too.

There was a county clerk in Boulder who was issuing the things hand over fist before Suthers ordered clerks to stop; she kept doing it anyway until Suthers addressed her directly.

My partner called the Clerk of Courts in Dearborn County, Indiana this morning only to be told that we could apply for a marriage license but that we could not marry in the Courthouse and would have to find another venue. Huh?
