Discussion: Colin Powell: Deal With Iran Is A 'Pretty Good Deal' (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #240174

Well, Colin Powell’s apparently a Kenyan-born Muslim. Right-wing apoplexy in 3,2,1…

The General to be vilified in 3,2,1.

Perhaps Powell is trying to deflect attention from HIS use of a private email account for government business while Secretary of State.
Nah.

This may actually be more important: Wasserman Schultz a ‘yes’ on Iran nuclear deal

Gen Powell?
Would you mind, perhaps, stating this to an audience at the United Nations?
It might, you know, carry considerably more weight.

Shorter GOP Colin-pounding, coming to a fair-and-balanced small screen near you: “The apostate Powell was a useful house boy as long as he toed the line, but now he’s uppity so we Republicans gonna do what we always do with uppity house boys.”

I was just going to post this on Schultz. Powell’s remarks on his support are also included. But Senator Cardin of D-MD has said no (or has that already been reported here?).

No, that hasn’t been posted here yet, but also, since Sen. Mikulski announced her support, Sens. Heitkamp, Warner, Booker and Bennet came out in favor of the deal.

Yeah, by yours truly (TPM being too preoccupied with Bristol Palin and similar authorities).
Correction: My bad, a little confusion about where I’ve posted stuff recently.

Yes, I saw that, and it is a big deal.

Sarasm noted, but we already have the UN’s support.

Now, just waiting for “Condi The Courageous”. Have a feeling that Godot will show up before Condi.

He did not have his own private server, that is the larger issue, not private email. Off topic anyway.

Being from MD I’m extremely disappointed in Cardin, he is kowtowing to AIPAC. He should be primaried next election.

What? He had a public server? That appears to be what you are implying.

He was reportedly very sorry he participated in that BS. He appears to be atoning for it, so he’s still a good egg in my, er, basket.

He even came out and said he was misled deliberately, on video. That should have have not only received a lot more press, but also should have led to an investigation.

I was not specific enough (just corrected it). He was using yahoo or aol, not his own private server. And he said at the time the State Dept email system was a joke, it was a long time ago.

Is the whip count 38 or 39 now? Mikulski was 34, right?
