Boy howdy do I miss this guy. Haven’t watched Comedy Central since he left actually. Larry Wilmore’s show format doesn’t work for me and John Stewart is past ready to move on to more inspiring pastures. Am so glad to see that Stephen will be back in character for at least part of each show. His routine deserved a larger audience than Comedy Central and here he comes.
And Caribou Barbie is just itching to be his running mate. What a team it would be.

Lordy, after seeing that, I’m going to have watch The Donald’s actual announcement. Otherwise, I’d take this as a very good sign that Colbert intends to continue to do political satire, which major network late night TV has avoided since Carson. This should be good.
