Trump and Giuliani are saying Cohen confessed to a criminal conspiracy that never occurred (they say the acts in question were not criminal).
Why would Cohen confess to such? In return, he’d get a lighter sentence for other crimes he did commit on his own (without Trump).

You are absolutely wrong. Mueller (Bobby Three Sticks is the type of nickname used by milquetoast asswipes ) can absolutely use a cooperating witness who was at the center of many things concerning the rigged election of Donald Trump and Russia. Michael Cohen made a trip to Eastern Europe right after Trump was sworn in and returned with a Russian “Peace Plan” for Ukraine which he himself personally placed on the desk of disgraced, convicted felon and Trump Director of National Security Michael Flynn.
Of course the Special Counsel and the SDNY will have to corroborate every single thing that Cohen says. That is par for the course for every cooperating witness. It wasn’t the SDNY, but does the name Sammy The Bull Gravano ring a bell? You think he didnt have credibility problems when his testimony finally convicted The Teflon Don? Wake up. Smell coffee.
