It’s incredible to me that this is the thing that seems it might take down so many players. Trump’s been a rolling PR disaster for his entire administration. REMEMBER WHEN YOUR NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR PLED GUILTY TO LYING TO THE FBI? REMEMBER WHEN YOU FIRED THE FBI DIRECTOR AND BULLSHITTED ALL OF THE BULLSHIT ABOUT IT? But this will be the straw that takes down Hicks and/or Kelly?
He’s jealous ?
Excuse me, but doesn’t Trump have to sign off on the security clearances that are supposed to be temporary? How is this not his fault ultimately? Shouldn’t he have asked why so many of his staff still have temporary clearances?
Time to prepare for Trump to say something perfectly disgusting about Hicks because that’s his way. Possibly about Porter’s exes as well. I have read that Hicks’s parents were concerned about her being in this job. If she were my kid I’d have her abducted and deprogrammed.
“Fully informed” Trump apparently never hears about the things happening right under his nose. Implausible denial again most likely operating here. Probably practicing “I don’t recall” with his lawyers at this very moment - during his “Executive Time” while watching Fox News and warming up his tweeting fingers.
Do I understand this? Trump isn’t upset about what Rob Porter did to his wives, he’s upset about how the controversy has been handled by Kelly and Hicks? Funny that he would consider Mulvaney for chief of staff since Mulvaney was a “mini-Trump” crooked developer in SC before he ever ran for Congress.
Her WH position is secure as long as there isn’t someone else willing to steam press Cadet Bonespurs’ pants (while he’s wearing them.)
CNN: Trump Unhappy With Hicks And Handling Of Porter Response
With even the most loyal aides betraying him now, he’s under a lot of pressure.
I’m sure he’ll handle it well.
According to “FIre and Fury”, Steve Bannon gave Hopeless Hicks the best advice ever, “You better get yourself a lawyer”
It’s called blame du jour and it is served in any Trump venue because for Donald, when things go wrong it is always someone else’s fault.
Her statement about Porter exhibited signs of loyalty to Porter over loyalty to him…And possibly a hint of free will. Can’t have that.
Well, it’s really not his job to fix Rob Porter.
It is his job to preside over a functioning White House (never mind the rest of the executive branch).
This one is a personnel matter.
OSC is working on the other stuff.
The more responsibility Trump has for something, the more he’ll blame others when it goes sour.
Absolutely he is.
Cherchez la femme. All the internalized misogyny in Trump world still won’t shield Hicks from getting the special treatment Trump reserves for members of the inferior sex. As he sees it, I hasten to add.
Because he’s rubber and everyone else is glue.
In Trumpocracy, the buck always stops on someone else’s desk.
And every problem is a PR problem and nothing else.
