"…there were “differences of opinion” over how many people had been exposed to the simulated biological attack, “which led to differences of opinion on courses of action.”

However, the special Hispano-toxin proved to be a big hit with all the guys back in the main office.

You beat me to it…

Isn’t that where they’re supposed to be kept?

A likely story.

I’m sure the current occupant will want to recognize CNN for its civic-mindedness in holding the latest episode in his administration’s ongoing and comprehensive dumbassery until the danger had passed. But if it slips his mind I’ll do it for him right here.

Which is why, whenever I refer to the Trump “Administration”, I always put “Administration” in quotation marks, because these incompetent + malevolent muthafuckas couldn’t successfully administer a fucking ant farm…

Kudos to CNN here - I think they played this exactly right. The public has a right to know, and CNN has a duty to inform, but the important public detail is mishandling of classified documents, not what was in those documents. Sitting for a short period on time-critical sensitive information like this correctly weighed their duties.

And the next question is who found the security Docs that got left behind in a public location that we don’t know about?

That’s why it was appropriate for CNN to sit on this for a few days or a week - so nobody was encouraged to go looking.

Don’t forget that there is a Trump family member who has no qualifications, no security clearance and is the target of a counterterrorism investigation that is receiving the Presidential Daily Brief.

I seem to recall a story in the W era in which a Secret Service agent leaving documents in a public space at the Salt Lake City Olympics: Found it -

Given the current news cycle and antics of the Admin and Nunes and GOP repubs - it does seem to be that national security just isn’t held to the same level of import for the GOP. Don’t know how one could get such an impression. ~shrug~

You mean the president, right? Oh ya, Jared - that makes two family members. (Technically a president auto gets clearance - doesn’t require meeting an standard of review.)
