Discussion: CNN: Pentagon Mulling Options To Move McMaster Out Of WH, Back Into Military

Sorry, he’s already been assigned his forever rank by Tammy Duckworth: Cadet Bone Spurs

Does it matter though? Do you think we live in a world where his replacement would be better than him? Or even if the Trumps accidentally wanted someone who would be better than McMaster the individual would want to serve under Trump?

Surprised that he’s not still tweeting over that. She nailed him.

Sorry but I’m going with “potatoe,” Quayle-style.

The Trump administration where speaking truth to power will get you a fourth star and a ticket out of the building.

McMaster has a Ph. D. in history — which is why Trump reacts poorly, calling him “professorial.”

More to his liking would be this general:

Brigadier General Amos T. Halftrack—the inept, frustrated, semi-alcoholic commander of Camp Swampy; introduced in 1951. He loves to golf, much to his wife Martha’s dismay. He sometimes harasses his secretary, Miss Buxley. He is 78 years old.

So why is the pentagon doing this? Is it just a way to park McMaster somewhere until he retires? Do they desperately need his expertise and management experience? A consolation prize after being fired by the idiot? A way to keep him from leaking quite as much?

“the White House considered replacing McMaster last fall, but decided against it to avoid the criticism of having to appoint a third national security adviser in less than a year.”

Totally understandable. Because appointing three NSAs over the course of only a year is so much better than doing so in less than a year.

It’s really pretty damn amazing that we have a POTUS who wants to get rid of his NSA, not because he’s bad at the job or because some critical mistakes were made, but because isn’t his buddy. Can you even begin to imagine Barack Obama even pretending to care about something like that?

More like for serving under the idiot…

He basically couldn’t refuse the appointment and can’t quit unless he retires from the military.

McMaster has been groomed for the high level military, his peers in the General Staff will do what they can to take care of him.

Not just the buddy factor methinks… I think that it is the intellectual mismatch between him and Trump.

Trump believes McMaster is condescending and unfriendly

Ah, but can he do the job?

What could he say?

What’s next?

It’s McMaster’s own fault for eating the “shit sandwich” in the first place. Once you take that first bite, you end up eating untold buckets of the stuff.

McMaster was a Kushner choice (yes, that’s inherently ridiculous). If McMaster has to go, then, to keep things smooth and keep McMaster viable, Kushner and other responsible parties want to have his move-out seen as a promotion. They will have to convince you-know-who to give him that fourth star, but you-know-who may be happy to do it just to send that (and I quote) “boring” general to Afghanistan or some such.

Jared would slip right into the National Security Chief slot, he might need to ask Ivanka for a little help with the Chief of Staff position which he will have once Kelly leaves. But these are helpful folks, personable and loyal beats a security clearance.

Yeah, the snide, condescending and uncultured Donald Trump wants to replace the head of the Security Council because he is abrasive …to an egotistical, uninformed and uninterested in becoming informed “fucking moron.”

And let’s not forget, that besides firing Comey because of “this Russia investigation” he also fired him for being “a showboat.” There can only be one Showboat in the Trump Administration. Cabinet meetings must begin with every officer praising the Showboat and saying what an honor it is to serve the Showboat.

We have a de facto junta of Trump family-owned generals including the lying sack of shit racist Kelly, Mattis, McMaster and that traitor and kidnapper Flynn running the White Hole. Every one of the generals has been complicit in enabling his jingoistic demagoguery, his threats about his nuclear button and nuclear genocide, his white supremacist rhetoric and the kleptocracy of taxpayer funds by the military-mercenary-industry complex. Getting rid of the military from political positions is a good idea.

It will create more job opportunities for Iwanka, Jared, Eric, Lara, the Knavs and others and business opportunities for the Trump Organization and Trump Foundation.
