Discussion: CNN Panel Taken Aback By Trump Tweets On Yates: It's 'Beyond The Pale' (VIDEO)

“I started, before I got into covering politics all the time, I used to cover the courts a lot. A lawyer would call that witness intimidation,” he added.

When you’ve worked with a hostile power to steal an election witness intimidation is nothing.

Unfortunately, Trump is not talking to us, the educated and intellectually curious. His people buy into the Trump worldview and, frankly, are pleased that Trump’s actions are outside “the norms”. To them “norms” are what boring, sheep-like, people adhere to. They want leaders that are mavericks. I think those of us that realize “norms” are actually the actions that define and maintain a civil society should start replacing the word “norm” with “ethics”.

Trump and Pence are not faithfully serving in their offices as defined under the US Constitution. Pence hired Flynn even after he was shown evidence of Flynn working with Putin and for the Russians…even while he was collecting the pension of retired 3 star general.

TREASON: Trump, Pence, Flynn.

Indeed. It isn’t like this is the first thing that’s beyond the pale - and it isn’t the first time he has tweeted about what people are going to be or are testifying in front of congress about.

It’s amazing that Bash doesn’t see her reporting as part of the problem.

If this tweet was really a breaking point for the CNN panel, it seems random to me. Trump has written a lot of worse.

Why are they shocked that the goon in chief is trying to do whatever his widdle hands can… to intimidate Yates? She is made of stronger stuff, and hopefully will bury his hide.

Maybe they know what is coming and want to get ahead of the curve.

They’re taken aback today, but Friday will be “the day he became President” or some nonsense and everything will be forgotten.

If only the CNN panelists had the guts to call out their boss Jeff Zucker who enabled the ugly orange scrotum.

You have a long road to redemption, CNN

King emphasized that it was unusual for Trump to make such a plea in public.

Can someone tell me WTF King is talking about? Trump's tweet about Yates is merely one in a long line of Trump publicly prejudicing issues before Congress and/or the courts, up to and including SCOTUS. Has King been paying attention?

“Hey, Trump still gets us ratings. So, there’s that.”

So he crossed yet another blurry line of indignation. Shocked!

Bare in mind he already fired her as part of a cover up to hide his complicity in the Russian scandals and in an attempt to derail investigations into the same scandals.

This is pretty clearly a violation of federal witness intimidation statutes. Mae all the clearer by the circumstances I just outlined.

All that being said, I suspect Trump feels he was pretty tame and resisted the urge to go with the Trumpian version of “Will no one rid me of this troublesome bishop?” Which I have no doubt did cross his mind…this is a strong woman standing up to him…again. Its the one thing that scares him and angers him more than anything in the world.

I have a feeling Ms. Yates could rip his balls off and stuff them in his mouth if given the opportunity.

Not either. Both. Well, there’s a slim to nil possibility that the craven jackals in the GOP will ever impeach Trump, but even if they did, we do need to take back the House and Senate in '18. The Republicans have become a malignancy that must be excised.

No, have to strongly disagree. Trump doesn’t even KNOW “like it is.” He only knows how he wants it to be perceived, and (sometimes) how the last person to talk to him told him it was.

Well, there’s ‘knowing about it’, and then there’s having the huevos to actually be willing to be quoted saying something about it.
