Glad he did this, but for the sake of the country he needs to get more involved again. He may drive out the far right base but he drives out moderates and the left even more.
Edit: Though since this is AL it might of been best for him to not get to involved.
Dueling robocalls - game on. Trump will tweet about this, Iâm sure.
Iâm pretty sure the calls are geared towards Jefferson County and other areas where Obama and Hillary did well.
For the rural areas, we need a Trae Crowder type in the local flavor doing ads or robocalls.Take away the Liberal Redneck moniker and have a serious and profane free ad⌠it couldnât hurt to try. An example:
Thanks, Obama!

donât know it will make a difference but this torrent will continue even if/after he gets elected.
Two new polls out today:
Emerson: Moore leads by 9 points.
Fox News: Jones leads by 10 points.

If only Obama and Jones had done a whirlwind arena-rally tour through Alabama last weekend.
That wouldâve been sweet. Not to mention sending Cockholster into apoplectic fits.
First reaction - Oh theyâre trying to drive turnout. WaitâŚwouldnât you want a smaller margin for that?
Thanks for posting this. The ending is encouraging.
A pollster, whose name I, alas, forget, pointed out on Twitter that all of the polls are suspect because the reality is that nobody knows who is going to turn out tomorrow. Theyâre in uncharted territory here and their âlikely voterâ models are mostly just fantasy.
No more likely trying to drive anti Moore vote down by saying it is not important to vote as it is a done deal.
My best guess is that the Emerson poll factors in GOPosaur voter suppression and vote total tampering and the Fox âNewsâ poll does notâŚ
The Republicanât Party: Who needs Russians to tamper with our elections when you already have us?
Iâm thinking Mojo Nixon would be a good person to do it.
I think that was Yougov, or possibly Surveymonkey. But yes, they concluded that the difference between the Jones +9 and Moore +10 was entirely down to the likely voter model, and nobody has any idea what it will actually be because there are so many confounding factors.
Tennesseeâs Fourth District borders on northern Alabama. It rates R+20 on the Cook Partisan Voting Index. The fine folks of the Fourth have reelected Dr. Scott DesJarlais three times â even after they knew that heâd had multiple affairs with patients and staff, had smoked pot with patients and pressured one of his mistresses to seek an abortion. In addition, this âpro-lifeâ warrior convinced his wife (now ex) to get two abortions. And that information came from court records â not the liberal Fake News Washington Post.
There are differences: Alabama is rated only R+14. Roughly a quarter of its voters are black (vs 4.4 percent in the Fourth). And all the attention given to Mooreâs dishonesty and turpitude surely harms him more than DesJarlais, who was flying below the radar.
But here in the South, every beneficial action (an Obama robocall, for example) seems to have an opposite and over-the-top reaction (because even âmoderateâ Republicans in Alabama hate that uppity Kenyan). Iâm praying for a miracle but not betting on one.
This is nothing short of awesome!!!
Josh M just did an EdBlog post on this subject (you may have seen it by now, but in case you havenât):

Anybody who will come out of retirement to campaign for Kinky Friedman for Governor (of Texas) has my support.
I like the strategy of depressing the vote among repub leaning voters. Running the Shelby quotes as a robocall is a very good idea, do everything possible to make anyone short of feverishly Bannonite sick to cast their usual repub vote. Pair that with running the Obama message among pro-dem voters (especially POC), and who knows what might happen.

Too much âoutsiderâ involvement, could be a problemâŚItâs Alabama, President Obamaâs skin complexion could be a problem
