Discussion: CNN Host Cuts Off Guest After He Calls Hillary Clinton An 'Abuser's Enabler' (VIDEO)

Because of the nature of my work, I have CNN on probably more than most. This isn’t the first time Lemon has refused to take sht from ignorant and unruly guests, or let them off the hook when they don’t really answer his questions. For that reason I am always a little more attuned when he is on compared to the others.

Would it be accurate to call it aural clickbait?

“”“Lemon told Schlichter his response was a “low blow” and unfair.”""

Which means nothing. Lemon could have said there is no factual basis for Schlichter’s remarks or that what BILL Clinton did 20 years ago is not germane to their discussion of Trump or what HILLARY Clinton is telling us she wants to do in 2016. He could have asked him to support his stale remarks and to explain how any of that hackneyed cant is relevant today. In other words Lemon could have blown the guy away. Instead he chose to go after the style of Schlichter’s remarks and not their veracity. Lemon led his audience to think Schlichter was cut for being an asshole rather than a liar.

I think they call that " News at 6 ".

I was stuck at a car dealership for two hours recently, and CNN was on in the so-called waiting room, something something Rubio, something something Trump. but I found a chair next to a potted plant that didn’t say a word.

I think the argument has always been that Bill Clinton’s peccadilloes of decades ago are not relevant in a political debate not involving him or of a different time. . And I agree. If That’s the case then the same should go for Donald Trump. What Bill, Donald or Ivana have done in the bedroom or back seat of a car is no different than you and I have done and irrelevant to this debate.

Schlichter spewed his trash because it’s all he has. If Trump has a bunch of that crap crap in his closet its not needed to dispense with him. Leave it alone.

Obviously Kurt Schlichter doesn’t watch MLPFIM, otherwise he knew that there are no rainbows spraying from a unicorn’s horn.

C’mon that’s just silly. Everybody knows only a Sonic Rainboom can produce a rainbow.

The entire Republican Party is corrupt beyond repair. The right-wing drift of conservatism since the McCarthy Era is finished. Nothing like our father’s and grandfather’s Republican Party exists anymore.

The thugs the Party enabled are the lords of Christianity. Not even God can stop them now.

sure, why not?

Reagan’s daughter Patti who took great delight in disagreeing with him has now said he wouldn’t recognize the party for all the reasons we talk about, gun control being on the top of the list. If he were alive he wouldn’t be into them.

Quite so, but I admit to being surprised by his being sensible. He’s said things so gobsmackingly weird that I’m pleased to find he had this in him. It’s nice to think there’s hope for people.

And not just Reagan—can you imagine what Goldwater would think about these people? He’d put on his pointiest boots and kick Trump repeatedly in that extremely fat ass of his.

Don, it’s gonna take a lot more for me to get upset at a
woman who enabled a guy who turned the Oval Office into a frat house
and his intern into a humidor," he said.

How much more evidence is there to be needed that GOPers should NOT be allowed to govern?

Naive. Having a guest that you know will push a meme that you can then look good slapping down is not the same thing as refusing to give that meme air time.

Apparently, the only way CNN could have missed this in this guest is by failing to look at his background.

A better counter is to turn the meme back on the guest: So rather than supporting Hillary you think supporting a guy who is an actual abuser is a better idea?

Looks like he may get his clock cleaned in Iowa where Cruz is leading because of the Evangelicals and where Trump’s ground game is not meeting its goals. I’ve been predicting that Trump takes the nomination but my scenario rested partly on the tendency of the GOP to follow a ‘wnner’. Never thought that I’d be grateful for Evangelical prudishness and gullibility.

While it has less relevance to effectively running a country that commonly believed, how people treat those closest to them says a lot about their character.

pointless

Certainly pointless as far as convincing the guest. But it turns the conversation back to Trump’s actions and his responsibility for them.

Trump and his father made a lot of money as racist slumlords. So says the justice department. How is that not relevant every day of the week. Especially since racism, religious bigotry, and xenophobia are the cornerstones of his campaign.

In the past 50 years has there ever been a major political candidate with that history?

Well, I watched it and I’m certainly not a CNN viewer so there’s that.
