Discussion: CNN: Defiant Kentucky Clerk Taken Into Federal Custody

I predict that one of her prison guards, a devout “Christian” like her, will become her 5th husband and the daddy of a child born 8 months after her release.

Orange you the clever one.

Might I recommend both detention and fines? Why should Kim get all the fun? Let her supporters participate.

I can’t wait for her inspirational “Tweets from a Kentucky Jail.”

She can preach to the other folks in jail when she gets the chance. She will probably be isolated for a few days and given a few assessments to see if she is suicidal, or just plain brain damaged. As a matter of fact, she probably can enjoy the company of women now.

Kim Davis’s Deputies Reportedly Say They Want To Issue Marriage Licenses But Are Too Afraid Of Davis

I guess we’ll find out.

Nah. He’ll be the (adopted) daddy of Husband #3’s kids. Have to stick to the pattern.

This Twitter comment works for me:

@SugarcubeDog @AP imposing fines wouldn’t budge her. She’d just be able to do fundraising. This way, she is confined to thought.

That’s assuming she has the ability to think. She certainly hasn’t demonstrated that there’s much going on up there.

Any word on what’s happening to the assistant clerks who were also ordered to show up?

They don’t need to fear her anymore. She has been rendered useless.

And I absolutely agree with the judge. The organization backing her would’ve paid the fines and she would have continued to behave in the same fashion.

Not smart to tip your hand like that.

Pray your way out of this one, biotch!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo had it much worse. She shouldn’t complain.

Yes, yes, yes…but does she get the 30 virgins to go along with her status?

From Think Progress:

Davis says that she is “prepared to go to jail” in order to maintain her stand against the Constitution, and that she believes that she is “a vessel God has chosen for this time and this place.” She also claims that “this is a heaven or hell issue for me and for every other Christian that believes,” so it is unclear what sanction Bunning could impose on her — short of a legally controversial move such as removing her from office — that would cause her to comply with the law.
It is worth noting, however, that the county’s judge executive may issue marriage licenses “in the absence of the county clerk, or during a vacancy in the office.” So if Davis is absent from her position because she has been jailed, couples in her county will once again be able to obtain marriage licenses.

It got her more attention, so, yep. The minute she backs down, she is irrelevant. She likes this attention, so she’ll continue. Although she’s going to need a makeover if she’s going to appear on Fox with her new martyr cred.

You got THAT right. This is a woman that had 3 previous marriages and is now on her fourth. Guess she didn’t do much thinking when she “paled around” with hubby number 3 before ejecting twins and then married hubby number 2, BEFORE number 3, yeah, that’s right.

Something is not working in that head of hers, and hasn’t been working for a long while.

Someone else would pay her fine, just like others are paying her “lawyers” (who should be disbarred for giving their client illegal advice), so I’m fine with her cooling her heels for a while … I just hope they put her in a cell with a bunch of prostitutes, and drug dealers … let’s see her spread her gospel of “judgement” to them.

Her 15-minutes is long over. Find her in contempt, already and lock her up until she purges her contempt. Anyone else who doesn’t want to do their job surely knows how to resign.
