I would have preferred they fine the shit out of her, but this works too. Can’t wait to hear what horseshit she laid on the judge at the hearing.

As much as this concerns me for KY Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jack Conway’s political prospects, I’m DAMN GLAD to see this fool thrown in the slammer where she belongs. Bye, Felicia!

I knew they’d bring the hammer down. Federal judges take offense when you blow them off…

Pious is the new black.

I’ve stated this elsewhere… her assertion that God’s law trumps secular law is going to backfire big time. You can make that argument all you want as a pundit or an everyday Joe because it’s just words with nothing to back it up, but if you’re going to assert that to a judge? Unless it’s that dipshit 10 Commandments-humping judge in Alabama… I can’t think of any judge or lawyer who’s going to sit still for that one. I predict a fairly robust statement from the judge that yes, the laws of the land trump your religious laws. Hopefully, something that other federal judges can cite in similar cases. The judiciary needs to put a stop to this notion of nullification by religious belief. It’s dangerous as hell (no pun intended).

The judge ordered her held indefinitely because he did not believe fines would be enough to compel her to follow the law.

I just want to see footage of her supporters singing ‘we shall overcome’ outside the jailhouse…that would be awesome and very ironic comedy.

Judge said fine for Kim Davis would not work b/c others apparently raising money to pay fines for her.

Har, har, har.

Wait, this is Kentucky, so allow me to amend – that should be: Haw, haw, haw.

And not just blow them off, but to do so with such arrogance and self-righteousness. She’s exactly where she deserves to be as though the judge was inconveniencing her with his rulings. Girlfriend, all you had to do was resign, but you didn’t want to miss out on that $80,000 so you thought you could play games and make the judiciary heel to your cries of religious persecution. Turns out you can’t even get that shit off to the son of a former Republican Senator, one of the most conservative Senators of his time.

They’ll all be sorry when god sends a legion of angels to break her out…

Her prayers have been answered.

Now she can claim martyr status.

Isn’t that what the Islamist suicide bombers call themselves?

Now she can play little Miss Martyr in jail. But I entirely sympathize with the judge.

Well, this strategy worked out really well, didn’t it?

Wait, Paul Bettany will be there? I loved that movie…

She can still resign, opening up her job to someone who would actually do the job.

Just caught it on a twitter feed I’d been monitoring. “Ordered to jail” is the way they put it. Excellent.
