The Wells Fargo execs(except the old chairman who is unrepentant)keep getting dinged more money by the Board --in Finance it’s called “clawback”
Is it too much for us to hope Billo is subjected to “gropeback”?

They need to find some way to keep him from suing. For all his bluster he’s as easily bought as any other knucklehead.
Hush money to pay for his impending avalanche of civil suit settlements and fees.
The most annoying thing about this is the section of O’Reilly’s statement that went:
“Over the past 20 years at Fox News, I have been extremely proud to launch and lead one of the most successful news programs in history, which has consistently informed and entertained millions of Americans and significantly contributed to building Fox into the dominant news network in television,”
This arrogant fuck thinks he’s been a potent force for journalism when actually his effect on news has been the same effect an old man who should have surrendered his license YEARS ago has on his car when he’s in a parking lot.
The O’Reilly Factor’ was never news. It was opinion. Confusing the two is the standard shuck of Fox. I don’t know if Billo’s ever said it but Sean Hannity has: “You think the American people are so dumb they don’t know news from opinion?” The answer is. “If they don’t why is that practically built into your business model?” Fox Not the News does the same thing The Fat Junkie’s been doing for years; claim to be a reporter but when he gets braced with the truth, claim to be “just an entertainer.” At least until the heat’s off. Then he goes back to claiming he’s a truth-telling reporter again.
Billo and his ilk excuse all this by claiming the Professional News is biased and it either makes mistakes or worse, makes stuff up. What he leaves out is on the occasions when professional reporters DO make stuff up – the most recent example I can think of was Juan Thompson – they are blackballed for life. So some make mistakes. It happens. However, please explain to me how that makes them biased. No one of Billo’s ilk yet has managed to do that and sound sane.
I used to BE a reporter. People confused news with opinion ALL THE TIME. Hell, they would even confuse Letters to the Editor with news. Billo’s whole career at Fox has been an effort to blur that line as much as possible. And before I forget, since when has news been ENTERTAINING like Billo claims in his resignation statement? Anyone who has ever written a story about the city budget knows anything you write on that topic is as entertaining as watching a Moline pipefitter bet the mortgage payment at a roulette table.
More than that, he never learned. Remember when he was so desperate to excuse the vile behavior of some of the soldiers who committed atrocities in Iraq that he warped reality? He employed Fox’s favorite excuse? “Hey, EVERYBODY does it.”
Billo lectured the head of NATO, General Wesley Clark, that during the Second World War in Malmedy, Belgium, U.S. soldiers shot down a bunch of SS trying to surrender when it was actually the other way around. Six months later, when by coincidence he had Clark in front of him again, he REPEATED the mistake. When some of his aging viewers who served in the European Theater said “Hey, that’s wrong. I was THERE and I know that was wrong,” Billo pooh-poohed the entire thing and claimed he meant something else that didn’t even come up and you’re being nitpicky anyway.
Well, Billo weathered THAT storm, just like he’d weathered lots of others (like his horseshit claim that he’d heard the suicide of one of the principals in the Kennedy assassination, when he wasn’t even in the CITY where the dude shot himself) but he couldn’t weather his itchy libido. Murdoch’s kids had had ENOUGH of Billo’s bullshit cause they thought it would endanger their bid for a British TV concern and canned his ass. Good riddance.to the guy whose audience was the people who scream at their TV sets.
Billo pioneering a new twist on being a gigolo…making millions from fucking women…over…
I’m surprised they don’t have a “you’re basically about to get arrested so we aren’t gonna pay you” clause attached to it.
Who gives a rat’s ass?
As Lawrence O’Donnell said last night. O’Reilly got the heel of Lisa Bloom’s boot.
She is her mother’s daughter, her mother being Gloria Allred.
He will be donating big bucks many harassed women (and his lawyers) no doubt, but he has plenty. He would impress the hell out of me if he did what you suggest.
Bill O’Reilly gets $10s of millions. Donald Trump becomes President and his family makes $100s of millions from the tax payers.
Apparently it pays to be a serial sexual assaulter if you’re a Republican.
Paying O’Reilly million$ is going to cause some other heads to roll. This would be a great time to be a fly on the wall of today’s 21st Century Fox’s board of directors meeting.
Agreed. Who cares what this crumb walks away with. It ain’t my money.
And I never watched his peice of shit show anyway…
That’s “bloody scalp” if you don’t mind. Spice up the graphics a bit…
Which is backed by the full faith and credit of Bitcoin.
Which Alfa Bank accepts btw…
Gotta love all that winning…but for these slobs their days are numbered…
So does anyone own stock in fox’s parent company? The shareholders meeting should be interesting this year.
That will keep him in lotion for a long time to come.
Wonder if he has any prospects for the future?
