A good friend of mine who is a Republican described Cruz to me this way: “People say he is like Joe McCarthy or George Wallace. I think that’s wrong. From what I have heard from others, this man is as ruthless and cunning as Richard Nixon and he hates people as much as Nixon did. He’s got a real pathology and it will explode one day.” This episode is straight out the Nixon dirty tricks bag. They called it ratf*cking.

Well, he took the next obvious step on this, and seeing that the assumption was good for him, he had it whispered at the caucuses.
I have to come back to…no candidate leaves Iowa for any other state but NH. Unless they are planning on dropping out of the race. It just doesn’t happen, except apparently in years ending in 16.
Candidates don’t do what Carson did precisely because it invites rumors and whispering to start about them leaving the race. Everyone with a lick of sense knows this.
The Cruz campaign got ahead of itself. Normally they would have kept this to a whisper and done it through untraceable robocalls, fake twitter IDs, etc. But its such a completely off the wall thing for Carson to do, they thought it was a safe assumption. Hell, I would have thought it was a safe assumption.
Cruz is a sleazoid. And there will be plenty more dirty tricks to come. But this one I am willing to give him a pass on.
We the public want you to act like this every time a politician is lying on TV. You all have been the problem. You have allowed them to lie with no push back from the very people who should be the front lines of protecting truth.
That is another thing the people are very angry about. We know you are controlled and are to control what gets out and the slant given. Blacks=bad. Cops killing us=good. We get it now so you can just go stop because it is not working any more.
What we clamor for is integrity and truth above all else. We just want the truth.

FOX News was denied a broadcast license in Canada because Canada determined FOX is dishonest. I believe Canada has no FOX News, or am I mistaken.

He’s the modern day equivalent of Nixon. Dirty tricks and all. Smart, devious, devoid of human kindness. Arrogant. Mean. Even his own kids don’t like him.

When this race is over and Cruz is out of the limelight, I wonder what his Plan B is? He’s pissed off the entire congress at this point - not to mention everyone else except, maybe his wife. Does he go back to his old job in the Senate, if he was ever there in the first place? Or, is he the next Rush Limbaugh (choke). That’s where the money is so that’s most likely where this threat to the planet will crawl on his slime trail.

That is why I can’t watch them anymore. I have to shut the TV off and go outside to breathe some fresh air. Fresh until my GOP controlled state gets that fracking they just voted to allow while banning my ability to self determine in my community which has banned fracking.
This is what we will get with GOP control. All the freedom to let them shove death by air and water down our throats and telling us we can’t do anything about it because a corporation or a donor has more rights than you do.
Sure wish the media talked about that more.

Face it if Cruz’s campaign didn’t do what they did Cruz wouldn’t have won. This just proves he’s an asshole willing to do anything to get ahead.
Well there is no “Fox News Canada” if that’s what you mean, but we do get the channel (we get most US channels). The Canadian Radio and TV Commission (CRTC) rules on broadcasting pure bulls$#t apply to Canadian broadcasters with Canadian licenses – US channels like Fox (or ABC or NBC or whatever) aren’t considered bound by these rules because they’re simply “available” over the airwaves, rather than produced and broadcast in Canada. If Fox tried to set up a Canadian branch they would likely have to change their programming, but so long as we’re just getting the American feed they can broadcast what they want.
Anyway, Fox News is part of the typical 100-channel-or-so “basic cable” package where I live, along with MSNBC and CNN, though I’m not clear that it has much in the way of an audience (I have never seen it playing on TVs in an airport or auto-shop, for instance, whereas that’s pretty common in the US – our airport background news is either CNN or a Canadian channel like CBC).

I was in Montreal back in the summer. The hotel I stayed in had the basic cable package with the CBC and CNN but no Fox. BTW the CBC is quite good. Just the facts without the breathless melodrama of many of the U.S. news networks. Plus on the main business show there is little of the panic from the anchors if the market dips or if there is a merger you see on CNBC or FBN. Plus they quote “fellow Canadian John Kenneth Galbraith”.

The foundation of Cruz’s faith is obviously lying and cheating. The evangelical movement hits yet another low.
First we had Kim Davis (of the two divorces) telling us that gays marrying somehow is hurting her faith and the institution itself. Now Cruz gets caught red handed taking the Low Road, so he sends out his lawyers (no less) trying to say that the Devil Media made him do it?
How could anyone believe under any circumstances that Jesus wanted Cruz to screw a fellow evangelical candidate so he could win a caucus?
The evangelical movement is hurting Christianity. Republicans are hurting Christianity. Cruz is hurting Christianity.
Their conservative god of hate and retribution must be getting really pissed at their corruption and incompetence. If He doesn’t take action against them, voters will have to do it in November.
