Welcome to reality,John.

During the debate, candidates criticized the moderators for not focusing on substantive issues.

I would’ve been totally unfair and started with this.

“Iraq war costs U.S. more than $2 trillion”

John : keep in mind that every time you, and your peers, don’t call out their lies, you’re just making the problem worse.

How long has he worked besides Santelli and Cramer?? And he is just now grasping the problems Boehner was facing?

Does anyone here have a relative with dementia? You can either constantly bring them back to reality or join them in theirs. It’s easier to join them than it is to try to convince them of things they can’t or won’t understand.

Moderating a GOP debate is a little like that. Of course, relatives with dementia aren’t trying to be the leader of the Free World.

I have to believe all the debate participants were taking notes for future reference. During the next debate Carly Fiorina, when questioned about her stewardship of Hewlett-Packard, should look the questioner in the eye and proclaim “I never had any association with that company, that’s a bald-faced lie!” The booing and hissing crowd will back her, drown out the moderator, and the panel can move on to Donald Trump’s plans to build luxury golf courses on Mars.

All that whine and no cheese left everyone lightheaded…

It’s the NRA’s fault… :sunglasses:

Some of the questions were pretty bad. I particularly hate the “What would you say is your major flaw?” question. I was only asked it once during an interview 20 years ago.

When the HR person asked if I had any questions, I felt like asking, "Should I get the job, what is the thing I am most likely to say “I wish they had told me about that before I took the job” about?

Let me help you, MSM. The GOP/Teatrolls have two debate rules for you to follow:

If you stop getting it backwards, they’ll stop throwing hissy fits.

I did have a relative with dementia. The best way to handle them is to always gently remind them of reality, guide them when they get lost and keep a close watchful eye and a strong hand to prevent disaster.

Now this has become the role of the public - and SHOULD be the role of the media - when dealing with the deranged Republican candidates.

One of the things I found odd about the debate was that the subject of raising taxes was just accepted as being off the table. No one even brought it up.

I did not watch the debate but I watched the highlights on MSNBC and it looked like the moderators lost control. The good thing about that is that these are the people who deal with business and now they know just how fucking crazy these people are

I think the questions were geared towards the tone of the Republicans, you know, SIMPLE pleasures for the SIMPLE minded…something along that line.
Children behaving badly does have it’s consequences.
It took 5 moderators to babysit and that number wasn’t enough to cover the CHALLENGED.
John Boehner is in a rehabilitation center, trying to get himself back. Deprograming will no doubt take some time,

Ghost Dog® disputes GOP candidates’ tax policy suggestions. No one listens to Ghost Dog®.

In the old days, they’d be outfitted in white jackets with tailored white sleeves.

That’s odd. Some variation of the question’s theme crop up in many job interviews or performance reviews. “What area do you need to improve?” “What skills do you need to further develop or learn?” “What can you or the company do to prepare you to advance to the next level?”

I can’t recall going through an interview with an HR person that some question along those lines didn’t get asked.

Face it…these GOPers are not pretending t be assholes…they are the embodiment of the term and the denizens they represent are the ultimate indictment of the failure of our education system.
