Discussion: CNBC Anchor Confronts Rick Perry About Remark Comparing Gays To Alcoholics (VIDEO)

Perry is not a credible candidate for President, I don’t care what idiotic ideas he has floating in that space between his two ears…

When some jackass goes into this state’s rights BS I wish someone would ask them if they believe SCOTUS was wrong to strike down anti-miscegenation laws. They should ask, “If you feel the federal government should stay out of these matters, do you also feel it was wrong for the SCOTUS to strike down laws that made it illegal for blacks and whites to marry? If not, being that you’re using the exact same arguments as was used by the state of Virginia in Loving vs. The State of VA. why is gay marriage any different?” Force them to either come out against interracial marriage or try to explain the difference. Either way, hilarity will ensue.

When you have Kernan criticizing you for your ultra right views, it’s over. Give it up, Perry. Go back to your ranch for racists.

“And the fact is people will decide where they want to live, if Washington will respect the tenth amendment” Kinda like how people could decide on whether to live in a slave state or free state, right Rick. It seems republicans would love nothing more than to remove the “United” from the “United States”

“I don’t necessarily condone that lifestyle. I don’t condemn those Godless heathens to burn for eternity in searing pain, either,”

Chiggerhead?

If this dimwit is a child of God, I’ll take the Devil.

Perry is so completely ignorant! Did he actually graduate from high school or ever take a science course such as biology or chemistry? I doubt it…he doesn’t even know which agencies in the US Government he was going to cut after he declared 4 needed to go. He was able to name just 1 agency…then the infamous whoops.

We’ve already tried adopting one village idiot from Texas in the White House…the nation will never adopt another Bush or another village idiot from Texas! The state is cornering the world market on village ignoramuses like Perry!

Pretty sure he’s just trying to fleece the couple rubes actually dumber than he is.

Yeah, Perry and others like him always, always go back to the same old worn out crap, “states rights”, which is nothing more than giving each state a license to discriminate against who they want to.

States Rights:

Let us hate blacks if we want to.
Let us hate Latinos if we want to.
Let us hate gays if we want to.
Let us bar blacks and Latinos and gays from entering our businesses.
Let us segregate schools because we don’t like brown skin or gays.
Let us deregulate everything in the name of big business.
Let us comprise an HIV positive list…we promise not to do anything nasty.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Funny thing the problem isn’t really the “let us hate”. They’re gonna do that anyway.

It’s “Let us use the government to punish and persecute” that is the problem.

Who knows what Perry thinks - if he is really capable of doing so … all of this is just Perry pandering to his base - politics have become like cable TV - you don’t need a Mega share to survive - you just need a sufficient loyal following that will endlessly support you - and in Perry’s case he is sustaining a loyal block of strident haters who will deliver support to him. Heck, if those strident haters wanted him to say 'gays have horns and a tail and engage in ritual killing of puppies" - Perry would say it in time to be on the evening news

Gawd the “Little Dumber Boy” can’t even the RWDB Joe Kernan to agree with him. Oh this is going to be fun watching the train wreck that is Rick Perry…more popcorn please

Probably has someone gay in his family.

Oh no this is TX and the 10th Amendment. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States.

“Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. Note that this was two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation - which had become official January 1, 1863. The Emancipation Proclamation had little impact on the Texans due to the minimal number of Union troops to enforce the new Executive Order. However, with the surrender of General Lee in April of 1865, and the arrival of General Granger’s regiment, the forces were finally strong enough to influence and overcome the resistance.”

oops!

Sicko Ricko knows he won’t get anywhere near the nomination. He’s setting himself up to make millions, grifting the tongue-talking and pew-walking trailer trash on the megachurch speaking circuit.

And BTW, they really do walk on the pews. I’ve seen it.

Rick Perry: Yet another GOP master of the tap dance.
