What is this we stuff? Got a mouse in your pocket? I will keep my old metaphors thank you very much.
Michael Steele did a very interesting interview with WTOP radio in DC this morning, basically encouraging rump’s accusers to try harder, be louder, and not to give up. He basically said, rump is asking for it, don’t let him off the hook.
It was ironic…
Have a thorough ethics investigation in Congress and if the accusations hold up and it sounds like they probably will, then he resigns.
You should read the complaint. It’s not a witch hunt. Again this one has nothing to do with Cernovich. This woman didn’t get her day in court because she couldn’t convince the court to seal the case and keep things anonymous. That strikes me as bad because she didn’t think her career could survive the hit of a public law suit against a powerful Member of Congress.
Really, Mr. Clyburn??? We don’t think so.
Conyers should go either way. He is 88 years old!!! I don’t want 88 year old people driving a car let alone running the country! Can we get real about this. Why are dems/liberals so easy to condemn alleged bad behavior (look at how quickly the pounced on Franken) but lack the spine to address a huge elephant in the room- Too many of these men…and women.(.I’m talkin to you Diane F)…are getting too old and should retire gracefully and lend their support and expertise to qualified candidates.
Conyers is showing signs of senility period -end of story!
Just stop Mr. Clyburn. It is heartbreaking to learn of Conyers behavior and settlement. And the initial call to thoroughly investigate is fine. But the latter statement is just stupid.
Stop.
Well, actually Fucking Dead Cocaine Abuser Andrew Breitbart, who was involved in the hacking and leaking of the original Anthony Weiner tightey wihtey selfies, lead the campaign to make sure Weinter resigned from his seat. Let’s see if Barton resigns. IOKIYAR, y’all.
@milt69 They all look alike…
I forgot about Breitbart’s role in the Weiner hack. Another reason for him to roast in hell.
Sure, Mr. Clyburn, the claims could be made up.
But it’s also entirely possible that Mr. Conyers joined Congress in an era when the standards were different. And if that happened, it’s likely that he learned about appropriate office behavior by observing his colleagues and their behavior.
If my speculation is correct, then it’s likely that the claims are true, because Conyers has been around Congress that long.
When he died, I was a HuffPo commenter and the Breitbart fan demographic actually tried to turn him into a William F. Buckley figure in the period immediately after his premature death. I got into an argument in the HuffPo comments section with someone who was pushing that narrative and my point was, I am sorry, but someone who consorts with Radio Assholes Opey & Anthony is not some modern day William F. Buckley, or he is all the viciousness and hatred and grinning power imposition of Wm F. Buckley without any of the intellect or culture or class. Matthew Yglesias also had a piece up on the web basically putting Breitbart in his proper context right after his death, not to mention the intent to cover up what was the most probable cause or causes of death.
After he died a bunch of his fans were throwing out conspiracy theories regarding his demise. “He was offed by the deep state!” Etc. Obviously the reality was the man was not healthy in mind, body or spirit.
There is a really hateful rabid anti Castro blog called Babalublog. They have all these links to Breitbart sub blogs-Big Government, Big Hollywood etc. Americans have an insatiable appetite for charlatans. Especially Right Wing Americans.
