Disagree completely. Wish you would sit in the corner—and usually agree with you. What we’re seeing here is a manifestation of American exceptionalism. Usually this comes from saying that the USA is morally superior, no matter how many millions we kill (not making a judgment right now, just laying out argument). Today we see people saying that the election can’t be challenged, because the US is not one of those countries which has unfair, rigged elections. Guess what? We do now.

Obama knew about the Russian tampering before the election. The time to question the legitimacy of the election was the day after Election Day.

If Russia did have a more direct role in helping Trump win, I doubt we’ll find out about it for years. The only reason we found out about the Russian GRU military hacking of a voter registration software company and the 122 election officials was because of Reality Winner.

She knows it can’t actually be challenged in any meaningful way, but it’s important to get it on the record if the 2016 election WAS legitimate or not, and so far there’s overwhelming evidence it was not.

This. As usual, the headline is somewhat deceptive, and many here seem to not read the whole post. She is not saying it was illegitimate, she’s being lawyerly and saying she can’t say it wasn’t. Shocker, a trained lawyer phrases herself carefully. There is no mechanism for litigating an election, as far as I know, but the courts can and do make new “law” every day. It’s part of the process. Let’s allow Director Mueller to finish his investigation before we start jumping to conclusions, shall we?

“Russia” didn’t add up to anything, she lost because she was an open border amnesty liberal and authoritarian on gun control which Americans don’t like. If she wants to put an *asterisk next to Trumps name over Russia the GOP can put an *asterisk over every democrat win over the last 40 years for the liberal medias collusion in their wins (thanks Wiki) which dwarfs Russia’s tiny by comparison influence.
