Discussion: Clinton: I Know How To Counterpunch Against 'Bullying' Trump

No, Trump says he only counter-punches when he is attacked. Maybe they both will wait for the other to start, and the whole campaign will be fought on policy issues?

Oh my … let the bully beatdown commence.

"President Trump" is a dangerous proposition.

Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio agree.https://t.co/fUkISvgaXC

Has Bernie said anything about Trump today? I mean it will be his opponent if he wins the nomination?

No, he’s out fleecing more gullible rubes today.

"Send me more money and I’ll totes convince the Super Delegates that they should back the candidate who has less pledged delegates, less total popular votes, less state contest victories, who has been dominated in the major general election swing state contests, who is behind in head to head national polling, who has said that our hugely popular sitting Democratic President should be primaried four years ago, and who has not lifted a finger to help down ballot Democrats in his entire career.

But wait … send 3 easy payments of $19.99 within the next 24 hours, and I’ll throw in a free Sham Wow!!!"

Isn’t Hillary’s point about her doing the counter-punching?

You go HILLARY. I am confident she will win and we will win the WH. When the average Joe really gets involved the closer we get to the election, reasonable people will never want him to be President. I give the voter more credit than that. Obama got elected twice.

Given that for Trump being attacked and treated very very badly includes things like, “I don’t believe that Trump’s policy in that area will be effective” I think we will probably see some punches traded. (And I expect to see Trump loosing (as TPM would put it) those exchanges.)

“Clinton told Cooper she is far more prepared to take on the “blustering” Trump than his 17 failed Republican opponents were over the last year”.

           Hard to argue with that

You can say a lot about Clinton and I’ve heard a good bit of it. But the woman can stand up for herself and she doesn’t seem to feel encumbered by her gender.

One thing that I thought held Pres. Obama back at times was that he didn’t want to come across as “angry, Black man” to some Americans who would take it the wrong way. Now, of course, he has no more f*cks to give so it’s no longer an issue. But, to the extent she’s had a lot of experience with this kind of mudslinging, I think Madame Secretary feels more able to go head to head with the big dogs.

“Clinton: I Know How To Counterpunch Against ‘Bullying’ Trump.”

Years ago, Molly Ivins shared an anecdote that probably offers the best insight into guys like Trump:

Margaret Atwood, the Canadian novelist, once asked a group of women at a university why they felt threatened by men.

The women said they were afraid of being beaten, raped, or killed by men.

She then asked a group of men why they felt threatened by women.

[The men] said they were afraid women would laugh at them.

Which is why the best counterpunch for a dumbfuck like trumpf would be to merciless mock his sorry ass, rather than give a fuck what he says or thinks. He’s a joke to begin with. Let’s hope she has a good roster of comedians to help her with that stinging punch without resorting to 3rd grade antics like his previous opponents on the GOP side tried to do…to no avail.

Obama could help her pull that off as he goes around campaigning for her…that’s for sure.

Just remember this, Hillary: you cannot insult a man with no dignity.

Clinton has a lot of experience fending off political and personal attacks. However, I wonder how she’ll do when Trump starts publicly delivering the type of vile, obscene misogyny previously reserved for barstool banter in redneck taverns or the chat rooms of Redstate and Little Green Footballs?

She has a great laugh. It can be a weapon against a jerk like Trump.

She’ll roll her eyes mostly but she will have to get down in the dirt at least a little bit. Some well-placed righteous indignation can work. She could just say," What are you like 12 years old?"

That’s already happening and Hillary is not susceptible to those people’s filthy manners.
