Discussion: Clinton Campaign Chair Claims Trump Ally Knew Of Upcoming Email Hacks

LOL!! :joy:

I agree. He has acted like he knows something.

SUE TRUMPā€¦SUE TRUMP

Yeah, everybody forgets about Tiffany. Including Trump.

Itā€™s usually pretty obvious when Trump changes topics mid-sentence in a debate in order to jam some of the talking points his handlers carefully prepared for him. Itā€™s painfully clear that he knows so little about the actual facts that heā€™s just repeating phrases nonsensically.

Palin did that a lot too, but just a bit more smoothly. Trump is merely a hot mess.

I have my doubts about how much of this is known. When the original hacks happened, the NYT reported that the source of the hacks might take months, if not years, or perhaps never, to determine. Yet pretty soon thereafter, it was the Russians fer sure! The hacks being ā€œconsistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed effortsā€ is a pretty thin reed on which to hand a conspiracy on. Maybe itā€™s true, maybe itā€™s not. But it sure makes a useful political club with which to beat Trump around the head.

Did you notice that after the debate Daddy tried to kiss Tiff and she deflected it and rubbed his arm instead?

That stuff was a real yawner anyway
Seriously a political campaign planning a campaign and taking into consideration the implication of their actions.
It will be nothing compared to the tell alls on the Trump campaign

If you care to read, you can see the details about the hacking and why itā€™s thought to be done by Russians here:

I think thereā€™s a long enough list of knowledgeable people who are convinced that this is a Russian intel connected hack that you can feel confident in that view.
A sample:

We have identified no collaboration between the two actors, or even an
awareness of one by the other. Instead, we observed the two Russian
espionage groups compromise the same systems and engage separately in
the theft of identical credentials. While you would virtually never see
Western intelligence agencies going after the same target without
de-confliction for fear of compromising each otherā€™s operations, in
Russia this is not an uncommon scenario.

I would be more concerned with the hundreds of Eastern European employees that Trump brings over every year by claiming that he canā€™t find seasonal workers in Florida of all places.

I also believe that Boris is Trumpā€™s FSB handler on the campaign trail.

ā€œMr. Assange wanted to change the subject,ā€

Mr. Assange wanted to assist a fellow child molester/rapist.

FIFY

Trump lies so often and so casually, Iā€™m not sure why heā€™d bother parsing words about this, or anything else. Why try to get clever about this particular issue when you routinely lie?

It is way above my level to gauge the accuracy of what is written. But a few quick questions: if these guys are the most elite hackers that Putin - or whomever - can find, wouldnā€™t it be easy enough for them to cover their tracks better? And wouldnā€™t it be quite possible for a highly sophisticated hacker or organization to bury misleading clues on the trail?

Moreover, answer this political question: if I am Vladimir Putin, or whomever, why would I try to put by money on a bloated huckster snake oil salesman real estate grifter to be my boy in the US?

Iā€™m afraid whatā€™s obvious is that Trump is a product of a sick American political culture. Trying to make him out as a puppet of Putin is about like birther movement, in that itā€™s trying to make sense of a situation which the opponents find is beyond their comprehension.

You really want to jump on the Trump policy of endorsing legal ramifications for political opposition?

As much as I may loathe most Trump supporters, I donā€™t think they should be imprisoned for supporting Trump, financially or otherwiseā€¦ Thatā€™s their right, as Americans and claiming that they should be investigated for it is just as bad as the GOP efforts to support minority votes in competitive states.

Everyone has the right to support anyone they want without fear of repercussion. As I explain to Christians who think that religious freedom should only extend to good Christian people: someday the ā€œother guysā€ may be in power. You really donā€™t want to be the person advocating for loss of protection to a group who lost the election, because someday, youā€™ll be the guy who lost the electionā€¦

In recent interview, Mom Maples seemed a bit of a mental lightweight but with her heart in the right place. Hopefully Tiff isnā€™t seduced by the lifestyle.

From what Iā€™ve been reading, it isnā€™t clear that Putin cares much about Trump, so much as uses him as a vehicle for pumping up right wing radicalism. Putin evidently views that as a way to disrupt unity among western states that would otherwise oppose a variety of his foreign policy aims (e.g., by causing unrest and disagreement around things like the refugee issue, immigration, etc.).

And isnā€™t sad the profound depths to which weā€™ve sunk, when Palin could offer lessons on speaking smoothly and coherently.

Oh, I think sheā€™s been wooed for a while and knows to keep her distance, figuratively and literally.

Sadly, that isnā€™t snark.

I couldnā€™t agree with your post more. I just wish conservatives would understand just how awful it sounds and wrong it would be (what I wrote upthread) ā€“ but if they canā€™t/wonā€™t, then they deserve every bit as much as they give.

Look: we have the NRA, anti-abortion terrorists, ā€œsovereign citizensā€, racist police departments and voter laws, anti-immigrant hysteria, no-nothingism, ad nauseam - and people are speculating that Putin feels the need to ā€œpump upā€ right wing radicalism? Itā€™s silly on its face.

As Shakespeare might say:

The fault, dear libthinker, is not in our stars (or Putin),
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.

Just curious: where are you reading this?

Itā€™s just his stump speech. Trumpā€™s debate performance was little more than his daily stump speech interrupted by audience and moderator questions. Itā€™s all he knows. He has no knowledge of the issues of the day, insight into the most basic principles of his platform or has even heard of some of the daily headlines that run the news cycle, he just repeats his stump speech.
