Hey! I resemble that remark. I have stopped calling people Neanderthals ever since I had my DNA tested and found that I have over 3% Neanderthal DNA, which is much higher than the average European. I now call these people troglodytes. (Although I have seen some really nice cave dwellings, too). Ed Rendell has has always been the old timey gruff, union guy that reminded me of a Dem Archie Bunker.

I actually think Rendell is a fairly good spokesman to the types of blue collar men and women the Democratic Party has been struggling to hold onto since Reagan. So, for me, he’s one of those surrogates who can be very helpful in the rust belt, but he needs to stick to economic issues and say nothing else.
Also, it’s not clear from the article, but I half wonder if what he was saying is that there are a lot more flat-chested women (AKA unattractive/ugly women in Trump’s world) than the kinds of women Trump thinks are attractive and thus worthy.
Regardless, this is a subject from which he should back far, far away. He’s in no position to discuss women’s issues or beauty. Stick to what you know, Ed.

From a Pennsylvania resident, I can say with authority that Rendell is one of the corrupt Democrats that harms the Party.
For example, did you know that Rendell was one of Justice Alito’s strongest supporters during his confirmation process?
On what “authority” and can you provide evidence of corruption beyond the fact that he’s a Clinton supporter? I’ve got no skin in the game for or against Rendell, but the word corrupt is thrown around so often and carelessly by Sanders supporters that the word is increasingly losing its value.

Really, what he probably meant to insinuate instead of ugly - was “normal.”
There are beautiful people in the world - and then most of the rest are normal people.
Ugly people are few & far between - but you know them when you meet them - they are usually ugly down to their CORE.
Ugly men examples: Trump, Cruz, that idiot Ted Nugent
Ugly women examples: Bachman, Palin, that lady with the gay marriage aversion).

Rendell is a corrupt old asshole and a good illustration of the fact that Hillary’s associates and network are some of the most distasteful parts of her candidacy. (and by “distasteful,” of course, I mean “inspire rage in some”)

That a fossil fuel industry backer like Rendell supports Clinton is pretty damning. Rendell isn’t as bad as his successor was as far as support of fossil fuel goes, but he isn’t outside the range of EXXON worshippers either.
