And as McConnell is up for re-election in 2020, I donât expect him to do anything to upset the apple cart. Though I doubt it, if Bevin loses in a blowout this year, perhaps that could change his calculus? All he cares about is being re-elected with a majority so he can continue to ruthlessly wield power.

When Trump made the âAppeal to Stealâ (Stopping action on obtaining incriminating information on him) strategy a centerpiece a few weeks ago we lost a great deal of momentum and Trump succeeded in making the political scene all about him fucking with us like heâs doing here with this bullshit quote.
We are not talking about any of the charges he should be facing
And every day that goes by with THIS bullshit-spewing-to-a-mike-shoved-in-his-face activity by Trump (instead of what he should be doingâquavering in raw fear about the charges he will face) is a day he will chalk up in his favor.
ETA This is the inherent advantage when an unscrupulous individual can take advantage of âthe POTUS must be quoted on anything he/she saysâ. The Fourth Estate has never faced such a problem as Trump presents @mattinpa
