We’re in for interesting times as Comey’s FBI dead-man switch activates…
Sen. Schumer:
“The country is being tested in unprecedented ways. I say to all of my colleagues in the Senate: History is watching. I yield the floor.”
Sen. Turtleneck’s response:
“SHUT UP! We haven’t cut taxes and slashed Medicare yet.”
Whoa – settle down there, Chuck. Your barely contained seething rage is a bit much. At this rate you’ll be writing a sternly-worded letter by year’s end.
History is watching, but Chuck De Nomolos hijacked Rufus’s phone booth.
Let the Republicans continue to obstruct, do not forget the midterms of 1974 and how it was a bloodbath for the Republicans even after the Democrats already held solid majorities in both houses.
If things continue the way they do and Democrats learn to adopt Bernie Sanders New Deal economic rhetoric, you not only have a good chance of the Democrats taking over the House, and defending all their seats in the senate, but also maybe picking up one or two there which would be insane, but plasuable with the train wreck we’re seeing and if they push through the millionaires and billionaires give away pretending to be a healthcare plan.
You should watch Cuomo’s interview with Leon Panetta from this morning. Leon was visibly and audibly angry, and in a real way, not fake or teevee angry. He just said it like it is. This is ridiculous, Trump just can’t do this, he’s endangering our security because of his stupidity and insecurity and lack of stature.
History, and the Justice Department, one hopes.
I haven’t seen (haven’t looked much) – is it clear whether or not the Tass photographer was in the room when Trumpp blabbed?
Trumpp can provide a weak, but plausible, reason for revealing the classified info to a Russian government official, but there is no excuse for sharing it in front of Russian media.
If he did pass the info on in the presence of media, that fact should play a starring role every time a Democrat criticizes Trumpp for sharing the info with the Russian government. Dems also should be hitting Trumpp for sharing highly sensitive intelligence on the mideast with Iran’s close ally.
Reps, always willing to cite history, but have nothing but contempt for the actual lessons learned and don’t realize they are making history every day. As a history major, the pattern is clear: these guys are in for an ass-forking
Or ITMFA as the tee-shirt and other products would have it.
Net proceeds of all contributions to ITMFA will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood and the International Refugee Assistance Project.
It’s “whoa”, and the senator is being diplomatic, a feature made obsolete by the the R party and not easily recognized on comment forums.
“No independent prosecutor, no vote on new director of FBI.”
Thank Mr. Schumer.
Hmmm… having no FBI director might be just what Trump wants/needs at this juncture.
Oh, I understand, but it would be nice, just once, to see some hellfire being spouted by a righteous Dem for a change. (And thanks for the edit!)
