“It sounded like a body slam. MBS is the our kind of guy,” she said.

A CIA director who didn’t have Bush-era torture on her resume would serve the country better at this instance.

Some Trump buddy ought to play this while talking to Trump, so the Chinese can share the recording with all of this.

I wonder if “Bloody Gina” got a copy of it to listen to as meditation music? You know, just like Ivankatoinette uses recordings of immigrant children crying for their mothers.

CIA Director Gina Haspel has reportedly listened to the audio recording of Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi’s alleged interrogation, torture and murder

WHY? yes, you are the head of the CIA - but why do you need to listen to this ? yes she was career CIA - don’t they have active state-of-the-art experts who would do all of the technical verification and assessment with specific technology & establish authenticity?

What is the value added by having the most senior administrative official listen to a “snuff tape”

-did she play it backwards t to hear if she could make out “Khashoggi is dead”?

If there was a body upon which to do an autopsy - would she step in to poke around in that too?

Probably because the Turks can’t play it to too many people else it would get out how well they have the Saudi (and others) embassy wired. And nobody wants to take Erdogan at his word. Why she needed to go through the theatrics of going there in the first place, since we will do nothing, is the bigger question.

To be honest, I think in this administration, it’s better for the most senior/highest level person to receive direct evidence because then there might be a chance that it will be heard and taken seriously. No guarantee. Trump would probably wet his pants if he listened to it himself.

VICE News the other night had a report from Saudi Arabia, a female reporter with a British accent and an arabic name. She said The Kingdom allowed them to come and do the Report but then forbade them from filming anywhere or talking to anyone but a Saudi media person. He basically said that MBS and The Kingdom were going to ride out the heat from the murder, and were confident that The West and everyone else would move on to another issue in a couple of weeks. It seems to me that the Trump Admin and Kushner intend to follow the same strategy.
