Upchuck Todd said something remotely correct and mildly intelligent.
The issue is that they were not actively producing those weapons. Chemical or otherwise. From what I have heard about it they were dealing with stockpiles left over from the 80’s. There was no active program one way or another.
We were led to believe they had an active WMD program, especially nuclear (yellow cake uranium). They have had none. Were soldiers injured by the stored weapons? I am sure some where, but that is probably moving them and such. That hardly justifies going to war.
Since when is it Chuck Todd’s job to find WMD’s in Iraq?
A handful of leftover, degraded munitions from the Iran-Iraq war, that the Iraqis themselves didn’t know where scattered and buried in various locations, does not vindicate the Bush administration in any way, shape or form.
That Todd would even legitimize Newsmax, which is barely one-rung above the National Enquirer, shows poor judgement from Todd at the outset.
I am pretty sure that the National Enquirer is several rungs above Newsmax on the ladder of news organizations.
So, for that matter, is the Weekly World News, which is the fine publication that regularly reports on the space aliens advising the president—complete with “photos.”
Upchuck will be interviewed by that same alien some time next month, and the story should be interesting.

Chemical Weapons In Iraq Implicate Reagan

I’d have to agree. National Enquirer makes no bones about the fact that they’re peddling nothing but nonsense and doing so is their only agenda. Newsmax pretends it’s producing actual, objective journalism, despite peddling nothing but right wing propaganda, and vehemently denies that it is doing so. That’s enough for me to consider them the bottom of the barrel…the anti-standard to which all other MSM news outlets apparently aspire.
As for Chuck Turd being right about the WMDs: meh.
Way to go, Chuck. You’re terribly uninformed answer just gave the con media the opportunity to claim that the MSM admits that Bush was right about Iraq’s chemical weapons programs.
What we heard in the lead up to war was that there was a active nuke program aka mushroom cloud. There are chemical weapons storage and destruction facilities here in the states. Mainly Nevada and Utah. When soldiers are injured handling them, thankfully few, no president is vindicated, it’s part of the job.
Another Bush/Cheney lie in the lead up to Iraq was that Saddam was going to put drones in suitcases and send them here to wreck havoc.
NExt stOP, WOrld NET DAily.
Chucky T couldn’t find his ass with the space telescope.
How dare Chuck question George Bush? George Bush was a conservative, he was extremely intelligent, extraordinarily talented and competent and always believed in the truth. He was truthier than George Washington. He was infallible, a messiah who should be worshipped.
The Bush family loves America and the power it has provided their family. In return, Bush family has invariably provided America with wonderful recessions, huge deficits, great wars for the oil that their friends and America desperately need and destroyed millions of jobs so that working Americans can enjoy leisure, They should allowed to annoint their sons to the Presidency as soon as they turn 21. It is time for a Constitutional Amendment so that the smart, intelligent Bushes can rule for ever.
All of them.
Did Chuck bust into a dope French Horn solo on this fool? Roll these beyotches up with the B flat dog.
Also - please dig up Edward R. Murrow and pimp-slap his corpse. Likely as close as you will get to actual journalism, Chuckie.
You have to admit though, the National Enquirer’s illustrations of space aliens are pretty much spot on.
(with apologies to John Prine)
I suppose he could have conducted himself like a journalist. When asked if the chemical weapons “vindicated” Bush he could have said no…“in fact they supported the claim Saddam had abandoned a WMD program” as all the weapons found were old corroded and discarded units. Their condition indicated they were long abandon as was the WMD program that was said to exist and used to legitimize the attack. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that in 2006 Bush was POTUS and desperate to justify the fiasco that was Iraq. That’s when a bunch of these “chemical weapons” were found but kept hushed. Why? Because they proved there was no WMD program by their condition.
As for claims by B’Bart and FOX of media bias those are so over the top ridiculous I cannot imagine why Todd even addressed them.
Haiku for Toady Todd:
Another fool tool
unquestioning kowtow
to those who rule
Because we all know there’s no possibility chemical weapons were produced by or shipped to Iraq in the 12 YEARS since Bush lied us into that war. They’re just too backward for things like that, right?
