Discussion: Christie: 'Outstanding' NFL Commissioner Goodell Should Keep His Job

Discussion for article #227864

Given the types of people Christie has surrounded himself with, saying the commish is an “honest man” is a bad sign for Goodell.

If Christie says he’s an honest man, that means he’s a crook’s crook. If I were Goodell, I think I’d decline a character reference from Christie.

What a gratuitous comment. Christie had no reason to weigh in on this matter and he manages to exacerbate division.

I know Roger to be a great husband and wonderful father to his two daughters.

He should have been asked to explain how a great husband with excellent parenting skills can turn a blind eye to domestic abuse and child abuse in the organization he manages.

Maybe he should be spending more time with his family in that case

Trust me. It’s a ‘sliding scale’.

a little more context would help-nj1015 is a right-wing talk radio station, basically radio equivalent of fox news, they’ve had a symbiotic relationship with christie since well before he became governor. ass-licking enablers would be the term i’d choose. they had a large part in helping to create the christie persona, and they will be the among the very last to let it go.

Christie; We have to be a society that considers the totality of somebody’s work, and their life. I know Roger to be a great husband and wonderful father to his two daughters.

Christie pulls this one often. He talks about someone else but he is also hoping to apply the same to himself.
It is sort of pathetic.

If Christie thinks Goodell is an honest man, I have a bridge in New Jersey he might like to buy.

Yet, he had no comment on Hobby Lobby…

A character reference from Christie is worth what you pay for it.

The Fat Man doesn’t know Shit about “honesty”…

STILL waiting for him to come clean on BridgeGate…

CC- whose deniability is as plausible as Goodell’s.
