Discussion: Chris Christie: Subpoena Me, Why Dontcha

Discussion for article #236032

I for one would like to see Porky Pig testify after Ms. Kelly finishes naming names about who knew about the Bridge caper in Christie’s office.

I guess Christie never heard of Gary Hart.

What is that saying? - “Pride goeth before the fall”

Yep, its a career killer. Whats the old saying, something about pride before the Fall?

Mark this quote down. When the time comes to subpoena Christie, and it will, he is going to fight that subpoena tooth and nail.

Christie previously said on Twitter that the charges against Kelly and Bill Baroni, a former appointee of his at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which oversees the bridge, proved that he had “no knowledge or involvement” in the lane closures.

Yeah, because when two of your close associates, who you hired/appointed for their jobs, are charged with a major, felonious, conspiratorial crime, that’s clearly some really strong “proof” that you had no knowledge or involvement in the crimes they committed under your watch and on your behalf. Wow, that’s some rock-solid reasoning there.

I’m sure Gov Weebles can lie on the stand as well as he lies in public.

What it does prove, however, and this in the very least, is that your judgment in making appointments and selecting advisors is . . . oh, what’s that expression? Oh, yeah. For shit.

Worst. Governor. Ever.

He has done nothing for this state - NOTHING. Unless you count telling off teachers and\or Sandy victims.

Kind of still annoyed at Cory Booker for not challenging him.

I hope his prodigious appetite extends to his own words.

Sounds like something one might say before they officially crash and burn on the record under oath.

And then they can add perjury to his upcoming charges.

Hey, btw did you feel the earthquake we had in Michigan the other day? That was weird. And any Michiganders, please go vote today…NO on Prop 1. Its a shitty, overcast and somewhat rainy day…but we need all people to the polls. I now return you to your regularly scheduled mockery of Tubby the Tuba.

The weaker your hand the bigger you need to bluff.

If Wildstein gets on the stand and talks about how Christie knew what was going on, all bets are off for Christie staying as governor of NJ. Wilstein’s lawyer said that Christie knew the bridge was closed as it was happening.

Subpoena? One would think that a former US Attorney would know the etymology:

sub- A prefix that means “under.”

poena That’s the old Greek term for “penis.”

So you should know that should you ever be handed one of those papers, they’ve got you by the balls.
