Discussion: Chris Christie Rises To Second Place In New Hampshire Poll

Discussion for article #243671

Wow…it’s like he just appeared out of fat air.

How did that happen?

Can you imagine if Christie ended up being the Republican Party’s only hope to get out of this mess? That would be a lot for them to swallow.

Good. He’s not going to be the GOP nominee and he sure as hell is never going to be POTUS but a 3rd place for Rubio in an important primary is a mood setter. Rubio is the only threat the GOP has. Lets hope this happens.

interesting in that not only would he not carry new jersey in a presidential race but he would not carry any state in the northeast…go for it republicans

TPM’s reporting on polls is really frustrating. Christie, Cruz, and Rubio are at 12, 11, and 10%, and the margin of error is +/- 4.9%. So is Christie really in 2nd, or is he in 4th? The story, it seems to me, is that Trump is still in first place with a 15 point lead over the others, well outside the margin of error.

I keep hearing that Rubio has a zipper problem. Wonder what will come of that and who is stirring that pot?

They’re already at the bottom. Now they’re just circling it.

Trump #1 and Christie #2. New Hampshire likes itself some bullies.

Getting to the bottom is a journey. For those of us who like to watch, it’s a splendid view. Christie knicks up Cruz and Rubio in NH and this takes wind out of their sails in SC. Nevada & FL are not in play for anyone but Trump in my view. Super Tuesday is 7 southern states and Alaska, plus Vermont, Mass, and MInn. The 7 in the south are Trump’s. So is Mass. Cruz and Rubio are left holding the bag. The brokered convention is going to be wearing lots of lipstick.

New Hampshire has a female politician who makes Michele Bachmann look sane. Video: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/this-crazed-donald-trump-supporter-does-a-really-good-donald-trump-impression/

Susan DeLemus was elected in 2010 as a Republican to the state House of Representatives. She is currently still in office. She is a stone cold birther.

In 2011, DeLemus was one of the state lawmakers who fought to keep Obama’s name off state ballots because they believed he was a “treasonous liar” who wasn’t born in the States, according to the Atlantic.

DeLemus’ husband, Jerry DeLemus was part of the armed insurgency at Bundy Ranch in Nevada last year.

And fuck you CNN for passing her off as a Trump supporter without disclosing she is a Republican politician.

Ironic, maybe, but not interesting. If Dems can’t win New Jersey and just about every other state in Northeast, something’s very wrong. Appeal of Christie long ago included the notion that he might at least be able to steal Pennsylvania – doubt it now.

Basically, Trump is in the lead, then there is a big ratcluster in 2nd place. You are correct.

Christie is probably in 2nd place, however, as that has been the trajectory his campaign has been going in NH since the Union endorsement. He is campaigning hard up there, while Rubio and Cruz are not. In a small state where retail politics is King, that makes an impact.

And Christie even being in that 2nd place scrum is newsworthy. Rubio should have locked down the Establishment vote enough that a 2nd tier candidate like Christie should already be vanquished. Chistie is going to make the Establishment’s need to rally around one candidate, even more difficult and time consuming. And they are quickly running out of time.

NH could very well be the only state that Christie wins if he even wins NH. LOL.

Yeah, but about half the New Hampshire population is in the state legislature, so that doesn’t count for much.

With a background consisting of Trump, Cruz etc Christie may begin to look good… JEB! sort of disappears into the wallpaper
