Discussion: Chris Christie: Let's Track Immigrants Like FedEx Packages

Wouldn’t do any good to implant chips in people who aren’t naturalized yet, since there are too many to trace already. Besides, chips can be removed.

The only solution is to have “legitimate” Americans be implanted. Babies will be implanted in the hospital nursery. All adult Americans will bring proof of identity and line up at a designated government office for implanting. If you refuse, you will be hounded by implant advocates asking, “Why aren’t you a patriot?” and “What have you got to hide?” There will also be serious social and financial repercussions for holding onto your false sense of privacy and individualism. The implant will contain your complete history, and will be updated from time to time via cross-linked databases.

Sounds awful, doesn’t it? But what they’re unwilling to do to themselves, you can bet the GOTP is willing to do to others.

“I’m going to have Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx, come work for the
government for three months,” the Republican presidential candidate said
at a town hall event in New Hampshire. “Just come for three months to
Immigration and Customs Enforcement and show these people.”

What if Mr Smith doesn’t wanna work for you Chris? Ya gonna force him? Beat him senseless? Whack his knees? DEMAND that he show you how to track packages?

About tracking immigrants, here in The Golden State undocumented immigrants are able get a driver’s license. It’s a plus for everyone, they must pass the driver’s test, pay about $30. for the license and they gain mobility in their lives and know the rules of the roads. So I’m thinking there must be some way of tying licenses into tracking immigrants. DMV, get back to Christie, and come up with something.

I was being somewhat sarcastic. Christie is being an idiot.
I can leave the front door open and my hound Murphy won’t go past the transom. The cats on the other hand, who can say?
I’m getting more and more intrigued with my off hand idea of chipping Presidential contenders though. If It is good for immigrants it should be good enough for Mr Christie.

Christie is the last person who should be talking about tracking down people. He’s one grand jury away from having to testify under oath and will be a marked man himself from that day forward.

Why is he even in this race? Only an idiot would support someone under investigation for extortion. We all expect to find bribery when it comes to conservatives and their K Street graft machine, but extortion? That’s for the really corrupt and depraved.

I told someone at the SF-SPCA I’d lost my dog and he said, “Oh, didn’t it have an implanted chip?”

Next thing Chris Christie and the rest of the dirt bag Republicans will want to do is tattoo bar codes on their foreheads.

I’m not sure I want to know the places Christie frequents with The Mob in NJ. However, the food is obvious good.

Don’t think it hasn’t been discussed behind closed doors int he RNC. I bet they don’t even understand why that would be so wrong.

Lets do the same to Repubs, after all they’re as dangerous as illegal immigrants, at least according to the GOP.

Trump would just fire him from this job at FedEx if he didn’t comply.

Mostly off topic but chipping dogs and cats does not allow you to track their whereabouts. Nor would it allow you to track undocumented residents. Those chips are RFID and have a range on the order of a few inches. What Christie needs is to LoJack everyone in the country, visitor and resident alike. Then, when he decides that you are an undesirable he could find you and take you out with a drone.

Another GOP policy idea snatched from pure fantasy. Just like health care. These are not new problems. We have libraries full of serious research and thoughtful policy ideas that they could draw on. But no! Let’s go with some ridiculous fantasy that no one who has ever thought about the problem would take seriously.

Fuck him…Why stop there you fascist pig? Why not just barcode or microchip everyone you moron? Can’t believe this fucker was an Attorney General at one time. Where did he get his law degree? Out of a box of Cracker Jacks? Apparently Crispy Cream doesn’t know the meaning of civil liberties or due process.

Immigration law uses administrative proceedings, not proceedings used in criminal law because immigrants are not considered criminals by any stretch of the imagination, in a country made up of immigrants, when they arrive. If their stay in this country comes into question, they are entitled to a hearing where the administrative judge needs to hear “clear and convincing” evidence in order to deport, not the lower standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt”. That’s how its supposed to work…So, if you were to brand people with tracking devices, like a barcode or a microchip upon entering the country, it violates basic due process and invades one’s personal privacy rights, which even immigrants in this country are given as a basic right.

Its fucking Orwellian…that’s what it is, and that piece of shit knows that would also be illegal.

Maybe he wants ankle monitors on 11 million immigrants. I wouldn’t put it past someone like him or any of these Republicans. They are that far removed from reality already. Its really become a sickness of perpetual grievance and intolerance of others who they deem not like themselves…at least with most Republicans these days. Hey, maybe they can make all immigrants wear an armband to identify them. Now where have I seen that before???

So when other countries follow our lead, vacationing Americans can look forward to being tracked through chip or bar code technology. But my rights, my rights!

I was thinking chips or ankle bracelets.

The first one is too horrible to imagine.

We need to pull back from the edge, guys. It’s getting scarier by the moment.

He’s just trying to score points by attempting and failing to out trump Trump.

Like I said above immigrants over-staying their visa is not considered criminal unless a crime was committed while here. Its that simple. Its not even processed as a criminal offense if you overstay your welcome and have been abiding by all other laws. Its an administrative issue that leads to deportation. That’s why the term “illegal immigrants” is a misnomer. Its “undocumented” in that the visa has been extended past the official administrative time allowed. And most immigrants that are here in the US that are undocumented have overstayed their visa, not crossed the southern border without permission. We still don’t know how many that comes to in terms of actual numbers because the Republicans give those people no reason to come out of the shadows without fear of immediate and harsh repercussions.
