Firstly, TPM? Second, this is kind of weird–I don’t understand the veneration. His soul isn’t there. It’s in his music.
This piece was music to my ears in a dirge of otherwise news of no note. It played upon my heartstrings in staccato plucks of lyric composition. You have conducted yourselves with brilliance TPM, chopping through the cacophony of cymbals and drums played by our media. Bravo.
True, of course. But sometimes with relics of any sort it’s interesting to think that this object connects you to some fascinating and distant time and place. Personally I think it’s fun that there are entries in Beethoven’s notebooks about what he paid for coffee and chocolate hanging out with his teacher “Haidn.” Imagining those two sitting at a table in a coffee shop, talking about this and that—wow. I could do without looking at people’s hearts but I suppose it’s a similar thing—it makes it realer, more concrete.
AFter having tried to play some of Nocturnes , Sonatas, I sincerely believe that Chopin must have been left-handed and ADHD…
Terrific story…new feature roughage to help process the political Cheetos.
Is there a Polish joke in here somewhere? Never mind.
