Discussion: Cheaters Exposed After Adultery Site Ashley Madison Hacked

Discussion for article #238564

The hackers want the site taken down because they charge $19.00 to remove your info. If not, they will publish credit card info and everyone’s bio.

This could get really interesting.

People that need to resort to websites to have an “affair” should be exposed, if only so they can be nominated for their Darwin awards.

40 million people have signed up to cheat on their spouses?

How romantic.

What people do in their private lives is nobodies business save for the people involved.

@CarlosFiance: A figure like that, or any, should tell you it’s not cheating at all but normal human behavior, run up against the insitution and ideology of the nuclear family marriage. Divorce rates tell - actually underestimate - the same thing.

I wouldn’t disagree, although I believe it would be more proper to say it’s one aspect of the range of normal human behavior, because fidelity is pretty common, too.

The irony is rich in this story. Cheaters cheated?

Exactly correct.

One exception: sitting or retired U.S. Senators that have a “family values” voting record.

Tell us all about how you had affairs in the olden days, Grandpa!

It depends. Say you’re a family values politician or an fundamentalist minister who very publicly and condescendingly spends his days telling other people how to live their life. If you’re also a customer of Ashley Madison I think the public has a right to know that…

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Too funny.

Isn’t this site mostly scam-bait anyway?

True, but people need to get it through their thick fucking heads: most things you do on the intertuebz are essentially public. Period. End of story. Grow up and swallow that pill. Stop fooling yourselves and you’ll live a happier, more comfortable, safer-feeling life. I don’t give a fuck what privacy statement they gave you. Make your calculus and live with it: would I rather have a lawsuit against them and make some money after suffering horrifying embarrassment and potential financial setbacks OR would I rather my shit just stay private.

If you tell someone you’re going to be faithful, and then you go around screwing other people, yes - that is cheating, no matter how many people are doing it.

Names at the top of the list:
Donald Trump
John McCain
Newt Gingrich
…

The name, which has already appeared on several such lists, and could very well be on this one, is Diaper David Vitter. But, here in Loosiana, it seems to be of no consequence.

We sent secret love letters to each other, I tell ya! None of this paying money to an internet site with a credit card; people so stupid they think that will remain secret deserve their fate.

And then we walked to our tryst through the snow! Uphill both ways!

“Ain’t Nobody’s Business What I Do.” I always loved that song and the sentiment it expresses.
