Discussion: Charlottesville Car Crash Suspect's Mother Accused Him Of Violent Attacks

Thanks. So he was basically assaulting his disabled mom since he reached puberty, if not before that.

This may explain her reactions to the reporters. She is afraid of him.

I don’t think it’s how they are raised… I think it’s been bred into 'em; part of their DNA, I 'spose. You can’t expect 'em to be any better 'an that. You say it’s sad, but I assume it’s just part of God’s plan. They need to be looked after.

He could get a “diminished capacity”, but he is already at 2nd degree homicide, not first. Insanity isn’t going to work (he understood what he was doing.) He had intention, deliberation, and consciousness of action. 2nd alone, he might get 15, but with 19 others injured, plus backing up to hit more, plus record of hitting mother (ugh!), he is looking at 25 to 30 years.

The father died before the kid was born… killed by a drunk driver according to what I’ve read. Doesn’t change the probability the problem was cultural or hereditary… southern white folks, you know (like some of my own ancestors). But who knows? Maybe the drunk driver was a northerner and the kid was acting out some sort of revenge thing. Human minds are weird.

Yes, hug your son when he comes home.

But please don’t let him play football any more. CTE is real. And CTE lasts for life.

What do you want from life
To kidnap an heiress
or threaten her with a knife
What do you want from life
To get cable TV
and watch it every night

…after she told him to stop playing video games.

Video games?

It’s the pathology of whiteness. They really can’t help it. Ever since the goverbment came in and started giving them free stuff like health care, they have developed a culture of dependency. They say the mother moved to Ohio for a job, but it was probably just to get better welfare benefits. You know, with that cuck Kasich. In a way, I almost feel sorry for white people.

Thanks. Senior year, final football season. We’ve been lucky to date with no concussions. One is too many in my book. As he likes to tell me, as a lineman, he does the hitting, he doesn’t get hit.

Every game is cringe-worthy for his mom in the stands. Every shoulder, knee, ankle and wrist sprain hurts me, too. But he is convinced, as am I after watching him for the past 6 years, that being a part of football has helped shaped him into the amazing man he’s becoming.

Just one final season and then I can unclench my jaw…

And yet she’s still a defender of Trump. Who would spit on her for being a bad mother, if he ever thought about her. It’s just tragic.

The drunk driver story is from the kid’s uncle, so probably true. (See here). I said more about that here.

Well, yeah…but the rest of the white supremacists are all totally fine psychologically and socially. They’re just your normal racist, bigoted, homophobic, antisemitic jerks looking for an excuse to inflict a little violence and take the country back for the white folks to whom it belongs.

And I bet he is an NRA member and has an assortment of weapons in his apartment which he legally acquired…because in America owning and flooding our streets with guns is far more important than public safety. So what if going to the movies is more dangerous than flying in jet plane…America is #1 in gun related deaths each year.

Lock him up and others like him…racism and white nationalism and Nazi salutes are hate speech and they should not be protected or construed as “free speech”. If the congress can’t figure this out then amend the US Constitution and prohibit hate speech including all Nazi salutes, all goose stepping, all Nazi flags - add the confederate flag to the definition of hate speech as well. Put all that stuff in museums and text books so the following generations never forget and stand up to racism.

I understand the need for headline concision, but this was not a “car crash.”

This is probably the profile of many of the young guys going to these sites. They are looking for a place to fit in and an outlet for their anger at being excluded. The truth is Obama showed more compassion for them by making mental health services mandatory in insurance benefits.

lHell now I see why she was so vague in the interview she gave. She’s probably scared of him.

At least concussion awareness is greatly improved (for the most part). When I played I had a pretty violent collision and my ears started ringing loudly. My coach just said, “You just got yer bell rung. Sit out for a bit.”

My son played JFL up until high school and then decided it wasn’t for him.

Ah Florence, KY. Just up the road about 60 miles or so. A prime example of the disaster created when letting commercial real estate interests run wild in city planning. Adjacent to counties where the only thing more abundant than churches are the meth and opioid addicts. Has pretty high rates of alcohol and domestic abuse as well. I don’t say that to be mean, I’m saying that because it’s true. Probably the most Christian conservative cluster of counties in KY in that I-71/75 corridor just south of Cincinnati, very hard core conservative area. The Creation Museum and Ark Park are close neighbors. Good jobs there are probably hard to find too, outside the service industries, retail and a smattering of other lower wage options. Not an environment I would want to raise my kids in.
