Discussion for article #242109

Bring it on.

If anyone can bring the GOTP down, it’ll be the business arena.

We’ll highlight the need to make thoughtful changes in entitlements, fix flaws in Obamacare, curb lawsuit abuse, …

About that lawsuit abuse:

The National Chamber Litigation Center, our in-house public interest law
firm, is going to be more active in the courts than ever before.

It might be a reach to say he is out-douching congress, but he is certainly trying to medal in it.

What’s pretty clear to me is that, now that Ryan has agreed to be the sacrificial animal on the altar, he’s gonna dump the Free Dumb Caucus and make a bee line for the Dems. The business community isn’t going to stand for this nihilistic crap anymore insofar as it affects the country business interests. The CoC could give two sh*ts if he Free Dumb caucus wants to get rid of Planned Parenthood and/or tear the country apart. Fine. But when it comes to potentially losing money, that’s the bridge too far.

I have no doubt that Ryan wants power and influence. And, if he can’t get that, he’ll just accept money. He won’t be getting that from any right wing groups.

Keep dreaming Tommyboy and don’t come crying to us when the Teabaggers melt down Wall Street after forcing default on the debt!

“Congress challenging moderate incumbents with the help of outside groups – are now using blocking the Chamber’s interference in primaries as a bargaining chip in the current speaker’s race.”

I’m sorry, because the speaker can do exactly what? That doesn’t make any sense at all.

Considering all the President and Democrats have done to revive the collapsing economy and to “create economic growth and to create jobs,” it’s a shame the Chamber still sees the GOP, and not the Democrats, as the “pro-business” party.

However, it would be helpful if they can do their part in eliminating some of the obstructionists that they previously helped support.

If the Chamber wants to bring sanity back to Washington, they should insist on un-gerrymandering congressional districts so we don’t get lunatics in the People’s House.

Ryan started out his career pledging allegiance to the Kochs - it’s pretty impossible to imagine that’s changed

The Kochs want immigration reform and after Ryan gets that through he’s ousted as speaker. So he might hold the chair until the Spring

The more the oligarch wing wants to go after the Derp™ wing, I am all for it.

I don’t see this at all. I see him sidelining the Freedumbers™ and wait for groups like the Chamber to bury them/cut off any funding for them.
