Donald Trump famously said early in the 2016 campaign that he could “stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose voters.” For about one in four Americans, that just might be true, a new poll indicates.
Asked if they could “think of anything that Trump could do, or fail to do, in his term as president that would make you disapprove of the job he is doing,” about 60% of Trump supporters said no, according to a new, nationwide poll released by Monmouth University in New Jersey. That’s equivalent to about one-quarter of all Americans overall, given Trump’s current level of support.

Sadly this will not change anything they were going to do. It is worth documenting this but is it worth even having this conversation anymore when the other members of the conversation aren’t even agreeing on reality?
You are exactly correct, Sir! Walmart has an entire corporate dept with local branches that demonstrates to their, um, associates, exactly where they should cap out on income in order to remain eligible for Medicaid, SNAP, subsidized childcare and housing.
And we pick up the tab so that they don’t have to. I recall one report that stated that one single Walmart store cost the taxpayers over $9 million per year in subsidies for their employees.
I never set foot into any Walmart unless I really need to pee and they’re the only place around.

And we are not naturally racist - that shit has to be learned. All one needs to do is watch a group of racially and ethnically diverse toddlers playing together to understand that racism is not part of our nature, it is part of our nurture, and these horrible 'pubs are nurturing hate and divisiveness.

Well, that was the percentage who still supported Nixon when he resigned, so sounds about right. Though I wish I believed that Trump and his cultists would be as comparatively well-behaved as Nixon and his followers were in the event that Trump looked poised to meet a similar political fate.
