Josh had an amusing piece the other day about what he calls the Unicornstitution. It’s a mythical document that supports “whatever crazy bullshit thing you already decided to do.” It’s the Ginsu knife set of non-existent and self-contradictory political thought.
“Krugmanism.”
P.S. A lot of folks keep on wondering why a skilled neurosurgeon like Carson can say such stupid things. In short, he’s not really stupid at all; he’s a crank. The real question is what will Ben Carson say or do next by way of eschewing facts and analysis in order to preserve his ideological web of belief? Same with Fiorina or Trump. Perhaps an ethnological approach is better than a sociological one in order to make sense of them.
Much like the “UnicornBible”
He’s Auditioning to replace Chapelle as Clayton Bigsby (black white supremacist) He even has the droopy eyes down

“But County Clerks don’t have to” he added.
…no words…
Subjugate? Bruh… you gotta quit it with the dominionist motif…
Interesting. In terms of raw intelligence, probably not. I’d guess he has a better colleges attended/degrees earned ratio than she does. But Jesus Christ is he wifty. If you were organizing a company picnic, and you gave Sarah a job to do as part of it, like bring the paper cups, the job would probably get done, assuming she didn’t get bored and quit halfway through. But with him I’d just suggest he go sit down and stay out of everyone’s way. I imagine he’d just hum to himself, smiling vaguely. Long story short, yeah, I think he might just be dumber.
He meant “conjugate”.
Then the liberal media twisted that into a word that would parse,
totally unfair to actual squirrels.
The problem with this is that first you have to read and understand the Constitution, something that I doubt Carson and most of the others in the Republican clown car have done.
I had forgotten that statement about Gingrich. Perfect for Carson.
Years of premed, then med school, hours of memorization.
Minimum of courses in history, lit, social sciences. The result is a hollow person. Some, as Krugman pointed out, have a head full of bumper-sticker memes that serve as their store of knowledge outside of their skill set as a surgeon, lawyer, engineer, etc. Recall those kids in high school or college who cut and pasted “big” words like “dichotomy” into their comments in the belief that people would think them “smart” ? How does one “subjugate” himself to a constitution?
This Carson is dumb as a friggin; rock. I’d be embarrassed for him in some cocktail party chit chat.
Ben, words aren’t stupid, people are stupid. You sir, are a people.
Haven’t seen your whiskers around here for a looooooooong time.
Guess that hard-hitting copy of the guy kicking a squirrel into the Grand Canyon really cheesed you off.
But the siren call of the 2016 clown car careening blindly down Nutter Lane reeled you right back, didn’t it?
(Like the sick and twisted scene of a gruesome accident, nobody can look away for long…)
Had that been true, we would have dropped the bomb on Germany. Some Los Alamos scientists were upset that Germany capitulated before the bomb was ready.
So Doctor Carson, abiding by the establishing law of the United States is “subjugation”? Then why are you personally running for POTUS?
He talks like a stupid person…period.
Right on all counts Pere de Ira. Non-stop Coulter & Palin is one thing, but that was way over the line. Nice to read you again (you too, Matt), the comments are really the best part of this site.
Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said on Friday during a
speech at the Values Voter Summit that anyone should be allowed to be
President as long as they “subjugate” themselves “to our Constitution.”
Subjugate… so now Dr Ben is a lawyer?
Ben, it works a lot better if you “adhere to” or “follow” the Constitution.
Jeeebus!!!
Was Sarah a surgeon too? Who knew??
