Discussion for article #243824
Bagger, puh-leeze!
Dr Carson - how much time have you spent volunteering with Doctors Without Borders?
So war = brain surgery.
Good Lord…
Carson: Doing Brain Surgery On Children Has Prepared Me For War
…
Lord have MERCY on me.
Now brain surgery = war leadership.
I knew the derp would be epic tonight. I just did not know how epic it would turn out to be.

This is impressive … but not in a good way.
Carson: Doing Brain Surgery On Children Has Prepared Me For War
Carson – “I can also do a cartwheel” ! —
So… is that the “slam dunk” he was talking about?
My impression of Carson’s sanity:
“I never see my patients suffering. I operate on them with my eyes closed.”
Why wouldn’t his eyes be closed while operating? They’re closed all the rest of the time.
I guess is totally accurate, in both cases if a he makes a mistake it’s someone else’s kid who dies.
Words fail me.
death by a thousand pricks.
Ben’s amazingly accurate description of watching the GOP Presidential field.
On a lucid day, perhaps. Lmao!
Two comments about Carson’s performance tonight:
First…notice that the slow cat blink was entirely gone. And the cadence of his speech was faster. Coaching, perhaps…but my guess is the “sleepy ben” was pretty much a bullshit act from the beginning. Now he knows he is trouble, so he is trying to step up his game.
Its not helping much because his “game” is still pretty empty.
Second…and this is more a personal peeve…Our government, and the Commander in Chief in particular, was created for “citizen-statesmen”, not a “political class”. That’s a pretty bizarre reading of history. Washington was a freaking general. Adams was his VP, an ambassador and key member of the Continental Congress. Jefferson was the 1st SoS, 2nd VP, Governor of VA, Ambassador, and a member of the Continental Congress at times. Same with Monroe and Madison. Etc, etc. etc.
Every president we have ever had has been a politician before being elected. The Constitution was created by career politicians. They set up an Electoral College specifically because they didn’t trust the “citizen-statesmen” to vote correctly, and put the actual voting in the hands of…the political class.
Does he know that dead kids will not later be thanking him?
So trying to follow his rather convoluted logic, he was willing to kill the children? It sure seems to me that is what he is saying. Once, again I’m calling for drug testing for all candidates. Hell, they’re taking far more taxpayer money than the people on welfare or food stamps, and they’ve sure called for drug tests on them.
His arrogance is breathtaking. Of course, the same can be said about most of the GOP candidates, who have zero experience in foreign affairs and haven’t even taken the energy to learn.
As someone who has known far too many surgeons in my lifetime–many of them when I was a child, myself–I will not argue at all with Dr. Carson about the merits of his expertise, his surgical skills, how his patients might view him. However, using his analogy here, I could say that cleaning up after my numerous animal companions over the many years I’ve been on this wonderful blue ball has instilled in me the humility needed, the right way to view and the ability to take as much shit as these derps can squish out from between their cheeks (butt or face). Thank you.
There were a lot of stupid things said at this debate but this one has to be in the top tier. Yes, of course Dr. Carson, telling a scared child to hang in there while I do potentially life saving surgery is the same thing as dropping a bomb on a kid and killing him or her. Yup, same thing.
