The sick reality is that Tucker Carlson probably is jealous of the Jeffs of the World. Subservient young women, staying at home, with no opinions, too young to be able to realize how fucked up it all is. It is right up his ally, and probably the core of his view ship (not the young women, the old dumb white dudes who yearn for the good old days).

I think Tucker has proven that he can say anything at this point, no matter how shitty, stupid, or crass, and still keep his job.

So, to sum up, Carlson believes that statutory rape laws and the illegality of prostitution need to be changed in this country. I’d say that his christianist viewers should have a problem with this but they sold their souls to follow the fatted calf BLOTUS.

I was just writing about how what Tucker wants is a double standard but then clicked on the link and see that he was so dumb he openly admitted this because conservatives have no response to criticism beyond going deeper into the abyss; which I now remember reading at the time.
All standards are double standards, he says. That’s the conservative attack on liberals in a nutshell, that everyone is immoral so therefore liberals are hypocrites for pretending they have standards because society itself is a hoax and we’re all selfish pigs. And he openly admitted that he always lies while speaking about morals in public because he’s required to, yet now insists that these words can’t be his true belief because he doesn’t say them out loud anymore.
It does make you wonder what Tucker has been up to. But really, I don’t want to know!
I understand his position. It is the same position I had when I was 17, but in 2015 he was supposed to be an adult and adults who have a public voice should advance a grown up point of view. That grown up point of view is what is missing these days.

My gut feeling is that it was wanna-be-jock edgelording: Carlson would love nothing more than to have us think he was getting all kinds of intimate attention when he was that age. He felt inclined to talk about the topic in terms so crass, so boorish that we would all KNOW FOR SURE that 15-year-old Tucker was very, very sexed.
That is, it’s much more projection/bravado than any real belief or position. I’m not sure Mr. Carlson has those.
