This story is too cute…and convenient for DeMaio’s campaign. DeMaio is in a very tight race with Rep. Scott Peters. I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t a set up by the DeMaio campaign to get him some publicity. He’s trying to brand himself as a moderate, reasonable Republican ans something like this can’t hurt.
DeMaio calls anyone who rings a doorbell a Regional Director. Sort of like the legions of Vice Presidents at your local bank.
