They believe they can “pass the buck” back to the House via the House-Senate reconciliation committee and duck all responsibility for this disaster of a bill. Let the House decide how to fuck over 22 million Americans since they are so heavily Gerrymandered and most of them don’t even face any real opposition this election cycle.
They think they can weather this storm in 2018 and keep both the House and the Senate since only 8 Republican Senators are up for re-election vs. 23 Democratic Senators (and 2 Independents) in 2018, and they could be right.
We need to hang this around their necks like the dead, rotting Albatross it is and MAKE THEM PAY in 2018.
As I posted in another thread, WVA was voted THE WORST STATE to do business in 2017.
To a certain extent, the dead, rotting albatross is already around their necks. This will speed up the decay and add some MORE carcasses to the one already there.
I’m not getting teary-eyed from the applause for John McCain either. I wonder how much has been spent on his healthcare over the years? I don’t begrudge him that, BUT his party’s bill has a provision to reinstitute lifetime caps in insurance policies. So, in a family that doesn’t have a member who is an heiress, a child with brain cancer might have their treatment cut off.
After the long summer, the darkness will fall heavy on the world. Stars will bleed. The cold breath of winter will freeze the seas, and the dead shall rise in the North.
But the fact is, she’ll be Senator long after Rump decides to leave DC, saying that he’s just too good for the swamp. Sooner than later, insurers will pack up and leave “opioid crisis ground zero” for better pastures and why not?
They all cave. Thanks to their spineless devotion to power and money, Trump is president. Nothing matters except a boot in the face and a check in the mail.
